notice I deleted my comment and subscribed . I’ve played four times and plan on being a 5.0 or greater within 8 weeks . I am going to play practice and watch all your videos …2-4 hours a day should get me there . 😉 What paddle should I buy ? Can you suggest a brand and specific model . . . Thank you
You guys are the essence of pickleball instruction. I have been playing for 8+ years and will be 80 in a couple weeks. I constantly recommend your channel to fellow players wishing to improve their skills. Ty for constantly breaking the game down to its basic elements
Phillip Phillips! What a great guy, humble, gifted musician and talented dude. On top of that he plays pickleball, what?! So cool that you guys met with him - thanks for sharing this!
Excellent and clear instructions for backhand slice dinks. A few years back you did a video for Primetime Pickleball showing topspin dinks (which I greatly prefer when possible). Do you have any new thoughts on backhand topspin dinks? Will you do a new video for that shot?
I saw a video by steve dawson who advises players to take dinks on the short hop if youre unable to volley dink. He encourages players not to dink the ball as the ball decends but to take it early. Callan dawson seems to play that dink style. Whats your opinion on that technique?
Sometimes I see players cross over to hit a back hand shot that forces them wide (BJ for example). Is there a scenario when you would suggest the crossover to hit a backhand?
Excellent-- thanks so much! I appreciate showing the variations on the footwork and how to reset the extreme side dinks. The only danger there for me is that the center dink has to be perfect or their partner will take it :)
I find crosscourt backhand dinks to be pretty straightforward. My technique is pretty much what you're demonstrating - I find setting up the cocked wrist for the backhand and swinging smoothly across to be very natural. However, I have a problem with the forehand dink because I get "wristy". Do you have recommendations for that shot?
Watch this video again before I went to play today and most folks here don’t dink very much, but there was a more athletic young lady there and she did start pushing dinks outside to me and I was practicing the slice dink to take them back, forced her outside and she sent one wide enough for my 3d ATP, i told my friends that shot was called a Jordan
@@BrionesPickleball Okay. I thought, since I hadn’t heard anything after sending in my video, that the team was looking for a polite way to tell me “sorry, we’re looking for higher level players for this training”.
Next time talk about if you dink wide, it forces your opponent wide to cover a down the line shot and leaves the person hitting the dink vulnerable in the middle.

Glad you enjoyed the content! Advance happy birthday! Stay tuned for more 💪🏽
Great tip with the wide stance and starting with the correct foot for the shuffle step!
Yeeep👍🏻
Squat for the low ones. So many just sweep like a windmill standing tall
👍🏻
Thanks for the vid, clear and concise. Thanks!

It was too much fun. I just shared this with a senior group.

Best in the business. I took the 2 day intensive. Highly recommend!

Shows how much fun drilling can be! Great video

Super compelling. Congrsts Jordan!

Thanks for sharing!
great teaching technique. I am going to use it to play against my 4.5 player friends
Sweet!
That was informative and super fun!
Glad you enjoyed it!
My one weakness due to back injury, going to my back hand dink on my left
I’m still working on it, great tips 👌
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love the trash talk! that was my favorite part!
Lol

I teach the opposite. Short hop dinks should be your absolute LAST option.

I prefer shuffle first, I’ll do a cross over video at some point t
That was great.
🤙🏼

I will! Thank you@@BrionesPickleball
That drill game was hilarious

Practice against a wall, and focus on your wrist stability, just like your backhand
I have a two hand backhand. Do you recommend me doing slice with one hand ?
Yes

I don't see a link to sign up for the "Breaking the 3.5 Barrier" series? Did I miss it? Thanks!

Is there a minimum rating/level for the 5-day intensive?
No, we plan to run multiple 5-day trainings. We most likely will find a spot for you
@@BrionesPickleball Okay. I thought, since I hadn’t heard anything after sending in my video, that the team was looking for a polite way to tell me “sorry, we’re looking for higher level players for this training”.
We’ll be getting back to you shortly. Sorry, it’s a process we’re still trying to improve!
When do you take it out of the air vs letting it bounce?
That’s a great question. We’re going to dive deeper on this in a future video
ATP's totally count in that game!
Haha I know
How did you guys get winded dinking?
By talking and not breathing lol
when's there going to be a video on how to spin the paddle? you know , on how to be cool.
lol
Soon
What are your thoughts of changing the paddle to left hand instead of backhanded dinks?
It may be ok at times, but not recommended to actually play like that consistently.
Lol...great video!!!😂
Glad you enjoyed!
go Jordan
