She did everything for them to be together and was obssessed with the love story, so much so that she never had a good relationship with Greg. Although later she recognizes how bad they were for each other (and how unhealthy her participation was), Paula, at that point, still has hope they can work after personal growth from both of them. Heather dated Greg and she made it clear on s1 that it was important that they got together since he dumped her for Rebecca. But here she bets on Nathaniel because she got to know him better in the car trip episode and is happily married to Hector, thus over Greg. Also Heather is one of the most mature character in West Covina and thinks Nathaniel would be the best shot for Rebecca. Valencia knows Greg and Josh since high school (or maybe even earlier) so she would go with one of them, since she doesn't spend time with Nathaniel at all (and if they did please remind me of when). V is not that mature as Heather, but she did got over Josh. She bonded with Rebecca at that weird camp and put her friendship first when she decided to plan Becks and Josh's wedding, which was a personal dream. But she knows after what she's been through with him and what her friend has been through also, that he is not a good choice. So she bets on Greg who came back better and healthier.

This number is so great for many reasons: The song is a BANGER, WhiteJo as lead vocalist (David Hull SMASHED IT!!!), ''lady sir'', priest school joke reprise, Paula tap dancing, the choreography, the set design, the joy of having a new group number
I definitely agree, but I think part of it is that it took until season 3 for him to actually be under enough emotional duress that he had to seek escape and catharsis through a song that was about him (“Fit Hot Guys Have Problems Too”). He has always been the character who was most comfortable with who he was, as well as the most grounded in reality and reason. He simply didn’t really have problems to work through, which is what most every song sung by characters who aren’t Rebecca are meant to be.
Also one explanation is that characters that have solos outside of Rebecca's knowledge are because of their close connection with Rebecca. It can be interpreted that she is passing on her musical energy. It's been well established that WhiJo does not like Rebecca and generally stays out of her drama, except now, when he's leading it.

I love this number so much in every way! Yet, the greatest thing is how it hypes you up for "the choice". With such a ridiculous build-up, you really start to feel like the point is which guy will Rebecca choose. But it's not. We got a glimpse of that in the Math of Love Quadrangles, which came before, so we know Rebecca has grown but we still fall to the group mind. Also, it is interesting that, in the earlier seasons, Rebecca's numbers (delusional as they were) were huge, with lots of extras (West Covina, Math of Love Triangles). While in the later seasons, her numbers got smaller and more private as she slowly worked her way out of the delusions (Math of Love Quadrangles, 11 O'Clock), whereas the group mind got bigger and bigger numbers (The Group Mind has Decided You're in Love, Love's Not A Game) that got more and more delusional.

@@XxisitjustenoughxX The Phillipines are considered to be in Southeast Asia.
@@XxisitjustenoughxX The Philippines are literally in Asia.
All I know is there's is a whole ass episode where Josh talks about how he considers it mildly racist when people call him asian
Just looking at how amazing the choreograpgy of this show is.
I wish they performed this live :((
This would have been so hard to do live.
3:37 that note! Is so beautiful!!
The Group Mind reprise is just spectacular and made my eyes tear up. I honestly feel so blessed this show existed. I'm going to miss it so much.
this is my favorite song fro, the entire series.
why, you ask?
BECAUSE THE VOICE OF DAVID HULL IS ONE THAT MUST BE HONORED
Donna Lynne's tap dancing is everything! I get Luck be a lady and If I was a Rich man vibes from the song
And this show is a masterpiece, so glad I discovered it 4 years ago. I remember when I saw the promo before it aired I thought this show had something special, that it was unusual and it could be great, profound.. Then when I saw the first episodes I harassed all my friends with it, and succeeded to convert a few of them lol. It's going to be hard to say goodbye!
Pretty much same! Although I only discovered it 1½ years ago, yet I almost heard the songs almost every week from when I discovered it 😄
This is everything I could have possibly dreamed of... WhiJo *finally* getting a solo, loads of old characters coming back for the last few episodes...
The only people missing are Karen and the grocery clerk with half an eyelid, I also hope Rebecca's mom and young Rebecca make an appearance in next weeks episode
Karen was off having a manic episode
@@michaelritchie2968 she's had a few seasons worth of them, and of course by seasons I mean each of the four divisions of the year (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) marked by particular weather patterns and daylight hours, resulting from the earth's changing position with regard to the sun.
@@michaelritchie2968 or maybe it was because of angelique's epigastric hernia.
“Jesus said it’s cool” is my new favorite line in a CXG song
They really made us wait till one of the last episodes of the final season to give us a proper performance from WhiJo that being said it is WORTH IT
I've been waiting four years for Broadway's own David Hull to get a song on this show and I could not be happier with the result. So worth the wait!
yaaaas donna that tap!!
So awesome, right!?
My nieces high school just did the guys and dolls and I kept thinking of this the entire time.
On top of David Hull finally getting his own song I didn’t know he could dance ! That double at the end was great ❤️
I know this reply is 3 years late, but David was in How to Succeed in Business on Broadway and you can actually see him in the majority of the 2011 Tony Awards performance with Daniel Radcliffe
This song alone enough to convince me that this show has the best casts ever, all of them
You have to replay to watch each character in the background. I always end up watching tim lol
2:03 Heather being like "Dude, we're inside."
Hah! I never noticed that. I guess I was busy trying to see if WhiJo was getting the trumpeting fingering correct.
Can we all appreciate Valencia in the vest and hat and rose- no one else comes close
I never understood the concept of a "beauty spot" until I saw David Hull's face. Thank you for bringing him to us, Rachel! 😄 I'm going to miss this show.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG IN THE ENTIRE SHOW. That beginning part give me *chills* I wish they had given WiJo more solos
I just love the musical moment suddenly lol, like the style of the beginning is SO musical and then he WINKS and then he directs the movements of the group around him and its just so hot 🔥 😂
Literally squealed when he started singing! Finally!
Saw those shirts and knew we'd be getting some Guys and Dolls❤
Just noticed like 3 years later that Valencia is cupid shooting Paula with an arrow. This choreography is so adorable and theatrical and quality. I love this number so much.
I'd give both my lungs to watch bloopers or just behind the scenes on every musical number from this show.
All the people who worked on CexG seem to be delightful and so much fun!
No matter how many times I watch this number, when it ends I always clap because a) I love Guys and Dolls, b) this whole number is so well done congrats team CXG you guys must be so proud, and c) WHITE JOSH HAS HIS OWN SOLO AND IT'S GLORIOUS
White Josh should have had more songs!!! He is great
"flops only appreciated over time"
There is not NEARLY enough discussion about Valenica's SUIT
Paula tap dancing and spinning was so badass!
WhiJo's face when Paula says "I think it's just ma'am"
I love the part where Heather says, they are dear friends, they are not horses
I'm so afraid of horses.
The last line gets me every time 🤣
This song is just *chef kiss*. This show will always be one of my favorites!
This entire cast is so talented.
Was not expecting White Josh _or_ Father Brah to have solos!
David winked and I screamed
so hot!
Just bingewatching every single song until the last episode is here. I'm am absolutely obsessed with this song and this show. I'm gonna miss it so much.. It is an absolute masterpiece. It really inspires me everyday. I am actually in theatre myself and I incorporated 'life isn't a movie' and wrote my whole thesis around the song. Love cxg ❤️
I always looked forward to watching this show every week .But i dont know what will i do after next week. I will dearly miss Rebecca Bunch .
There are actually 2 more episodes left... Same after that, though
Yes, but what will we all do after that...? Also only one episode is left, it is followed by a taped concert.
@@teenzcool19 😱😞
@@teenzcool19 As far as I know, the 18th episode will play right after the 18th episode in 2 weeks.
I know that I'll just relisten to the CXG songs for eternity 😅 Hope Rachel might release some new songs on her own channel like she did before, certainly not as often and high quality as with CXG tho
Yeah nevermind, I was wrong. Next week IS the last episode! 😨
This song is more evidence of how I have come to love and worship WhiJo. His character and personality has started to resonate a lot with me over the seasons. Impressive singing voice as well.
this is for real one of the funniest songs and im so glad that they had one last big number where everyone got a shining moment and we FINALLY got a whijo song that is really great with his character and donna finally got a tap solo and got to show off her incredible dancing (plus heather and valencia are so hot here) and even FATHER BRAH? he's one of the favorite characters and his part made me die laughing. love this song.
I'm sad this wasn't the Emmy nominee! Such an amazing number in every regard.
"Love be a Lady" . I LOVED this. It was a perfectly done homage to Guys and Dolls with the shows own comic flair. White Josh took it to the next level with his talent better than Frank Sinatra...maybe so. Paula tap danced,... awesome shes a not a hollywood skinny dancer...so is real. Go Paula! One of the best numbers the show has done!
It's 2021 and I still can't get over how good Donna's dancing is in this number. Just can't take my eyes off
Who's here after David announced his engagement? So happy for him!!
Oh my god I think the color each character is wearing corresponds to what "team" they are Valencia is team Greg so she's wearing red, Darryl is team Nathaniel so he's wearing blue, Paula is team Josh so she's green, exc.
Omg hadn't though of that!
So George is team Greg and not Nathaniel ?
@@gautronalexandre571 yeah, that wouldn't make sense
that wouldn’t make sense, heather is team nathaniel and she’s wearing red
One of the best songs this season and I’m so glad WhiJo finally got the solo he DESERVES
Have you checked out the death pool board?
Greg - dying of loneliness. Age 65 - 30 to 1
Greg - kitchen fire accident. Age 49 - 15 to 1
lacherie My favorites are Josh dying from faulty DJ equipment or dropping a sink on his head while fixing it. I mean, really either of those scenarios could happen
my fave is nathaniel being trampled by elephants at the zoo
@@brittmcv21 , I would have thought it would be zebras, given his beef with them.
@Lady Seashell Bikini , I was replying to the comment about Nathaniel, not Greg. The other reply pointed out the death pool has odds on Nathaniel getting trampled by elephants, even though "I Go to the Zoo" tells us Nathaniel has a issue with Zebras ("My favorite's probably the cheetahs, But I ain't messin' with no zebra" - broadcast version).
god the wink at 1:18 gets me Every Time
He's so cute!!!!😍😍😍
Angelique Mariel And he has problems too!
@@aidantoryk9488 yass don't look him he's not dancing for you
You can tell that they've all become good friends on the set. They work well together.
whijo on fit hot guys: yeah give (our shirts) back YOU MONSTERS
whijo on loves not a game: stop it you animals WHATS WRONG WITH YOU
same spirit different episodes
It's one of the reasons I'm definitely WhiJo
Also "YOU HORNY MONSTERS" when he learnt that Josh slept with Rebecca behind Greg's back in early S2.
Is it weird that I want to make a friend with this show in common? This show really helped me through my dark times yo ❤
Nope I've seen it happen
😭 same
this is undeniably one of the best songs in this show and its an amazing number, but i just realized how the chorus sounds distinticly like shawn the sheep's theme song and i can't stop thinking about it
Whijo, Valencia and Heather in those outfits is really working out for me
The costumes are so amazing!!!
Behold the glory that is White Josh.
You are all so talented and I love all the songs so much. I wish I could see you all live (I would have loooooved to go to the live shows but I live in Argentina)
