Thanks for a Great introduction to this instrument.🙂✨ I have allways loved Andes music, witch this flute is Close to. Where did you buy this fluets? Thanks!
It was my pleasure, I am very glad you enjoyed it. Oh Andes music, is that where the quena flute comes from? Because I love the sound of that flute. 😃 Both my flutes were made in North America, but I found them in a web shop in Europe which was easier to buy for me since no customs and long transport: www.fluteshop.eu
I have a very similar flute to that in the video, but when I try to blow into it, absolutely no sound comes out. It looks and feels completely blocked. I've been puzzled as to why and how to actually play it. Any ideas?
You can look at the "block" and see if it perhaps has accidentally moved over the sound hole, or too far away. The block is the thing that is wrapped with a leather band around the flute in order to align the air flow over the sound hole.
@@learningmusic thank you so much for your reply! I tried to move it to different positions but it didn't seem to change anything. When I try to blow air into the flute, it feels like there is complete resistance and nowhere for the air to go

Very strange, I have never experienced anything like that, sounds like it is somehow blocked inside. Sorry, I have no answer for you. =/
