You don't need to reply -- I am sure the material covers it all soon, esp. by the time I get to Scales etc... just throwing in a comment, haha. Thanks for all the wonderful content available and for the free shipping on the book. Hey Matthew, thanks for watching! I've actually mentioned that in a couple of other videos but I guess I should probably post it in all of them! Videos prior to Spring 2018 were a western Cedar Key of low D. Videos after that were in eastern red cedar key of F-sharp. We actually have some big plans for the song as well as some tablature and other videos for it soon!

  • @raymarshall2995

    Nicely done. Would you be able to answer of the sounds are different according to various wood, specifically Brazilian rosewood. I'm not knowledgeable about any of this, nor if a piece could be made from B.R., or not, but I have some, wanted to know. Also, if you made the wood wall behind you, great job.

    • @BlueBearFlutes
      @BlueBearFlutes  2 года назад +1

      Hey Ray, thanks for watching! To answer your question, harder woods sound more "brassy" and softer woods sound more mellow. Rosewood, being of medium hardness, should produce and quite nice sound! That having been said, I never recommend buying a flute based on how exotic it's wood is unless that is just convenient for you or something you're inspired to do! Otherwise, there are woods that can produce similar quality sound for sizably less cash! It will be a beautiful flute however!

    I can totally put those six notes in any blues playing and I can expand that with jazz accompaniment, with another instrument, lots of options. It's a viable, toneful instrument. The beginner can be a full artist, in no time. Melody requires no music theory. It's from God.

    • @BlueBearFlutes

      Those are tuning holes, you could just about cut the flute off there and it play the same. The tiny bit extra flute past those holes causes a tiny bit more resonance. I believe I did mention it in one video but it's been a while back. 😀

    • @BlueBearFlutes
      @BlueBearFlutes  5 лет назад +1

      It is a good question. It really depends on what type of flute you have. For example a flute in the key of A minor pentatonic will play the C note if you lift your bottom finger up. It is also possible to play the C major scale on an A Minor flute. Be sure to check our other videos out and how to play the Native American flute in under 10 minutes as we have several other scales and more information about the flutes and how to play them.
