Grace,Pace,Space!!!😊this is without doubt along with the XK150 and the Porsche 356 C Carrera 2 and Auto Union 1000 SP my all time favorite cars!!!😊😊Thank you for sharing this beautiful car view!!!😊😊😊❤❤❤
I love all things Jaguar, But the mk 2 has always been my no 1 car of all time, Its just that Shape, its whole demeanour ! Great job, All mk 2's should be kept for posterity, no matter what condition they are in, even lost causes today can be brought back, to the delight of admirers of this classic, like me !!
AT LAST, A MK. 2, WITH THE ORIGINAL STEERING WHEEL.!!! Beautiful car.!!! Like mine, (1960), a silver with red interior, has the earlier oil bath air filter, and the windshield washer reservoir, (jar), is still clear glass.!!! Also mine has EVERYTHING ORIGINAL.!!! "CLASSIC CARS, NOTHING LIKE THE REAL THING".!!! Cheers mate.!!!
The ignition key, are wrongly mounted up side down.!!! (180 degrees). The correct key position is with the serrations upside.!!! I know, mine it's also a 3.8 Lt, Mk. 2, (1960), and everything is factory original.!! NO modifications allowed by myself. "Classic Cars, nothing like the ORIGINAL thing".!! Thanks for posting a video of such a beautiful car. I'm very proud of mine.!! PS: Repair that crack in the steering wheel rim.!! It's easylly done.
We had one in the family, new from 1963-1970. In Switzerland. I raced against Barracudas and Sunbeam Tiger. At the time it was the fastest sedan on the market. Wpn Nürburgring. In winter we drove it with spikes at up to 140km/h on ice and snow on mountain pass. No traffic. In Summer the Dunlop tyres lost rubber blocks at max speed on German Autobahn. Loved it. You nedd to double clutch. 1sr gear not synchronized. Other times.
Hello Tommy, I live in France and I bought the same in 1967. I sold it in 1973 and now I dream of this Jaguar every day. Congratulations for your splendid MK2 ! And many thanks for you video .
984francis, when a concours car is judged, the boot is carefully inspected for correctness and condition. Note that the toolbox and tools are original and complete, ie, no reproductions. You would likely be surprised at how much a complete toolbox sells for, and by how much the premier condition of the boot escalated the selling price. Yes, alas, this video was used as an aid in selling the car. The new owner has made it even better!
@alanbstard4, I do believe that XKs Unlimited fit it with an oversize radiator, but you'd never know it by looking at it--it never was marked down at a concours. The early restoration by Xks in 1981 was before I owned it.
I didn't make the time to drive her much in the last five years or so. She needed a new and better home, and she found one. I had owned her since 1984, and had fun with her for many years.
Yes! Front seats all the way back for my wife and me. Note that Jaguar's marketing line "Grace, Pace and Space" was drawn up for this model. Might be a bit of an optical illusion in the video, too, as we never had any complaints with adults or kids. I actually used this video to sell the car back in October 2010. I'm pleased and fascinated that it still draws attention. Thanks for commenting!
Perfection...If I had the choice of any car on god's earth,it would not be a Bugatti,Aston Martin,Ferrari,Rolls or Bentley etc,yes youv'e guessed it would be be the Mk11 Jaguar.Less than half,or even a quarter of the price of the others.

Fits perfectly! I don't have the car anymore, but I think the spare was a bias ply tire, like what came with the car in 1962. The four road tires are/were 185 x 15 Pirellis.

Yes ! these beauties never age, they just mature and blossom. No other car comes close to the Mk 2 for looks.
It’s beautiful. The only thing wrong with your lovely motor is that the steering wheel is on the bloody left hand side! Lol

I'm in love now. It's a perfectly exquisite car. Every detail of it is so wonderfully aesthetic!
@barsorrro, thanks! I've been in touch with the new owner on occasion, and he and his wife are loving it.
A lot of great detail in this. Good work!
Restored within an inch of its life by the look of it. A museum piece I think.
Beautiful MKII. Love your plate. We have a MKII 3.8 just like yours only red. I love the "WARNING DISC BRAKES" emblem. Cheers!

Whoa that is in pristine condition. I bet that takes hours keeping it like that.
Great car would love to drive one

Lovely machine (but do adjust the valve clearances!)
@alanbstard4, the car never had a heating problem in 100+ weather in Oregon.
That's my cousin, good old Jason.
Actually, there is plenty of space and the car is very comfortable for four adults.
Gorgeous car though a bit obsessed with the boot!
Had one back in the 70s when i was a hippy, cost £500 sold it for £150 .Wish i had it now.

The spare wheel looks oversize above the boot floor.
