I have been living in France for 30 yrs but as a child lived in Maldon. I have returned once several years ago and stayed at the Blue Boar. Thanks for rekindling childhood memories; I could even smell the mud and sea breeze from the estuary.

THIS Was very Much part of My childhood coming here I remember when it had the big swimming pool around the Promenade and the Trampolines and Swinging boats brings back memories
Lovely video. I was a bit distracted 45 years ago when I last really visited. Whatever persuaded me to swim in the boating lake one morning I have no idea.

The Promenade Park has been a lifesaver to me during the Lockdown.....thank goodness cars were allowed inside the park this time, as Im disabled and unable to walk far now.......I live in Heybridge, only a few mins away....Thankyou.....x

Hello. Very nice to see you out and about despite Covid 19 restrictions. Here in NZ we are now at Level 1 to the great relief of businesses and sport activities. This is a very enjoyable walk in a part of the UK I have never been, either whilst living in the UK or since as a visitor. Smooth and at a steady pace, so time to look around. We're very curious now!! The situation with us is quite good. I think you are quite right in saying that too many people are thinking that it's all over, and are not being careful at all and that it's also a fine line between living your life. I hope in our lives we are managing to take both aspects on and live as best and as happily as we can. It's Yvonne's birthday in July and we'd love to think we could stay overnight somewhere by then, even if it's locally. It's easy to get excited by small things.
