This headline that floating offshore wind prices halve is totally misleading. Prior to covid the UK Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Project (one of the biggest offshore wind farms in the world) was being tendered at GBP 44-45/MWH. Since the monetary inflation from 2021 onwards RWE Ag and other companies are now saying new UK offshore wind prices need to be tendered at GBP65-70/MWH to cater for higher interest costs as well as higher capital and installation costs.
Blah blah blah, I know this industry doesn’t pencil out without government subsidies(which is still some how capitalism?) but it’s so great! Green wash, green wash, green wash!

At some point you get older and just start asking goofy questions. I'm looking at you guy in the middle.
