Cambria is definitely in our Top 3 for places we want to stay next! And that locked door story absolutely sounds like something we would do ... love it! 😂
We really, really enjoyed our stay at the Cambria! Loved the room layout and how close they are to so many other dining options. Haha. Never thought the door would be an issue as our son is a total night owl and never falls asleep that early. 🤦♀️ Lesson learned!! 😂 thank you for watching!!
We stayed at Cambria in September 2021 and will be going back this May. I recommend this hotel to people because it is affordable and close to Disneyland. We had the 2 queen suite with our 1 year old and it was very quiet with comfy beds.
Sadly this was sold out when we were travelling. Oh no about the locked door! So awesome the staff was so helpful and friendly. Looks like a great spot! Absolutely crazy that there was a big brawl there a few years ago. So cool you can see Matterhorn! Love the layout. Great kitchenette. Awesome that they have a free hot breakfast! That’s super helpful with costs. Nice pool area! Great video and review! Thanks for sharing 😊💜
I find it funny we were apprehensive about staying here and this turned out to be one of our best stays in the area. Great hotel and we would stay here again.
I have never stayed in this hotel before but really dig that it looks updated. I love hotels that has free breakfast. LOL. Super cool. BTW, how are you guys enjoying your new city/state? Hope your settling in. LIKE 32. 👍👍👍
This hotel is only a couple of years old and super nice. We always love to have a hot breakfast included too! We are really loving our new home, thank you for asking! Hope you are doing well too! ☺️ Thanks for watching!
sounds like the beds here are very comfortable for some undisturbed sleep 😴 lol shocking to hear about that pool incident! 🫢 it does look nice we always see the slides from outside when we exit 5 HOV. great amenities here, hot breakfast bar is huge plus. thanks for sharing ✨
Yes. This hotel was super comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. The pool incident was when most things were still shut down, which was a very odd time. We were happy to see them taking safety seriously and we would stay again. Thank you for watching! ☺️
Not sure if you can answer this or not but do they have usb plugs? I’m trying to work out if I need to buy an international usb adapter plug for our trip in a couple weeks. Thanks
Hi! Yes, in our room tour video we point out all the outlets and USBs. Here is the link to that video: Cambria Hotel and Suites Two Queen Bed One Bedroom Suite | Anaheim | Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel ruclips.net/video/5FhXw43NOhM/видео.html Have a wonderful trip! Please reach out if you have any other questions. ☺️
Hi! So it looks like the closest would be either Target at 12100 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92840 or Vons at 12961 W Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840. We have been to that Target many times! It’s not too far down Harbor Blvd. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching ☺️
Hi, great question. When checking in, they will ask if you have a car, if you don't have a car, you don't need to pay the parking fee. You will have to pay the resort fee.
Guys thanks so much for all the videos! Watched and liked all your hotel reviews. I’m coming back for a solo trip in Nov and need help deciding on BW Park Place or Tropicana. Essentially same price and free breakfast at BW. I won’t have car so that’s irrelevant. Light sleeper and thinking request top floor nearer the back at either place. My primary thing is going back and forth many times per day. What do you think?
Hi Bryan, I am a very light sleeper and I hear everything which causes me to wake up. Crystal normally responds to everyone but she asked me to help you out since I am such a light sleeper. I know exactly how it feels when the noise from the surrounding area keeps you up late at night. This is a tough one and let me try to give you some of my thoughts. We are aware that the stop light at the Harbor entrance causes a lot of cars to take off quick and cause a lot of noise late at night. We experience quite a bit of noise when we stayed at the BW Mini Suites. You may experience this noise at both hotels since so many cars have very loud exhaust there. The BW is a bit further away so it may not be as bad. Tropicana is more enclosed on itself and is a bit more protected from the street. We think that hotel might be quieter from street noise. However, the hotel does surround the parking lot and parking lot noise can be an issue from late night arrivals or early morning departures. We experienced this at the Grand Legacy years ago, we had a classic room right near a disabled parking space. Since the parking lot was very crowded, people parked there to unload their car all hours of the night and early morning. Tropicana does have The Cove convenience store where you can grab a quick bight to eat. For us, having an included breakfast probably saves us $12-15 dollars per person. We always try to take advantage of hotels that offer this because of the convenience and cost savings. The breakfast at BW is decent but definitely not the best in the area. The BW hotel itself is nice, but I do think the Tropicana is overall a nicer place to stay. This hotel isn't as protected from street noise. However, the parking lot will probably be a bit quieter. One thing we did experience was a bit of noise from the Denny's which is located next door. Denny's is open 24 hours and at the time offered outdoor dining, it did get loud at one point. They are no longer offering outdoor dining but there will be cars coming and going throughout the late night. We do recommend bringing ear plugs or using a white noise app or sound machine. I myself don't like wearing ear plugs at night and I just use white noise which does help. I would request a room on the top floor and in the back of the hotel or ask the staff if there is a room that tends to be the quietest. Also consider the Camelot which has the same owner as the Tropicana. The rooms themselves are similar but we thought the Camelot was overall quieter. We also had a great stay at the Park Vue and that room was very quiet. I hope this helped and I am more than happy to to help you out further. Everyone is different and I just wanted to give you some food for thought. Jim
I got confused and was thinking of the wrong BW. We had no problems with the rooms except for the amount of noise coming in. I only got about 2 1/2 hours of sleep that night because of all the noise in that room. Myself, I would pick Tropicana over this due solely for the amount of noise I dealt with. If I remember correctly, a few of our viewers commented they experienced a lot of noise staying at this hotel, even in the back of the hotel.
Thanks Jim! Kind of felt like I know you two a little bit, after watching all these videos since 2020. Very thoughtful and comprehensive response - that’s appreciated! I will tell you just to save some money (to blow on Oogie Boogie and Blue Bayou ☺️) last trip was great via Castle Inn and Suites, I just really want to drop that 9-10 min total walk down to 5, because like many 50 year olds, I break down at least twice every day to go back to the pool or grab a nap and just go with the flow - the beauty of a solo trip. So anyway, I’ve got all the Intel on everything around there and just can’t decide. I would probably lean towards Trop, as I’d rather sit down and eat at Carnation than do the whole breakfast line tbh. I think I probably haven’t decided yet because the big hold up has been Park Vue, the only one without rates yet! Thanks again Jim and Crystal, keep doing what you do! Real time walks are also super helpful for out of state people, I come from Boulder, CO area. :-)
Thank you so much watching us from the beginning and sticking around! We do appreciate it a lot. We do the same thing, save some money somewhere to spend it on an activity! Have you ever tried one of the tours? That would be a fun solo activity. We did the Walk in Walt's footsteps years ago where the tour takes you into Walt's apartment. We enjoyed it quite a bit. I think we are going to do a different rope drop strategy on our next trip, ride everything we can for the first 1 1/2 hours and then hit breakfast at Carnation. It seems like the perfect time to take a break and enjoy some food. Right now, if you don't want to pay for Genie+, going with the flow is the best thing. We aren't fans of Genie+ and it has changed the flow of the park for the worse. However, you can still manage to get things done if you plan your day out right. I have a few injuries that I deal with, bad back and knees. I usually take a couple of Advil throughout the day to help out. On my last trip (last weekend) we took a few breaks throughout the day and it was nice to relax a little and we ended up staying in the park much later because of the breaks. I am also happy you find the walks helpful. We wished we lived a bit closer ourselves so we can get more of the walks covered. Thank you again and always feel free to ask us a question
@@AnaheimParkTourist I feel certain that our collective park strategies are on the same wave length! My last 5 night trip was for Oogie, Sept 2022. Your rope drop is exactly what I did, twice! 9:30 reservation at Carnation and in that first 90 mins I did 6 or 7 rides, including Big Thunder x 2 and Space Mountain x 3 😁 I’ll let you all know what I decide on, it’s for mid November. Btw, what is great about you two is you’re grown adults with well thought out and communicated videos! The most informative you can be, without extra footage that can weigh down a vlog. You’re not trying to be your new RUclips selves or what have you, and that’s what’s kept me around, that’s why I said I almost feel like I know you guys a bit. Just normal people helping us OCD Disney nerds nail down every detail! 😁 I wear the badge proudly ;)
