This is the type of band, like TWOD, that each release requires multiple listens, and the more you listen, the more you get out of it. I get addicted to several songs, and just can’t stop listening. I also recommend Cameo and The Cool Change from this album. Who am I kidding? It’s all amazing.
Totally agree, my two favorite bands of the moment. Quite different in some ways, but they both pack their songs so full of great little melodies and moments and are extremely consistent in terms of their quality. (Both are also amazing live.)
Thought I was the only one who thought of TWOD when I heard this song. The elaborate guitar riff, which tells a story of its own, has something to do with it.

Someone was talking about blackouts and I went to look something up and this band showed up.
They have the most generic '80s sounding music. I listen to a station that plays 70s 80s and 90s music. That station sometimes play songs that I don't really pay attention to but that aren't necessarily bad and these sound like that. This is the third song i have listened to ny this band.
It's such a joy to hear an urgent, exciting and optimistic song - and to hear invigorating lead guitar duels just amps up the excitement. Thank you guys, and all.more power to your compositional pens and tricksy fretwork!
The lyrics seem quite sad. It kind of reminds me of the Cure meets The Smiths: effervescent, jangly guitars that raise your spirits mixed with tasteful lyrics hinting at loss. It hits that perfect tone of bitter sweet, the highs and lows of love and what could have been.
