Mike under Cus literally lived in the gym. He slept there and often didn't leave for days. People attribute too much of what top tier athletes achieve to talent. Talent isn't enough when you're giving 70% while your opponent gives 100%.

When you look at the merciless force of malevolence that Mike Tyson once was, and then you see his total honesty, his humility when talking about fighters today or his personal flaws and limits, his reverence for Cus and Ali, the way he lives now always looking to be a better more complete man, it's hard to escape that somewhere along the way Mike Tyson has become one of the greatest success stories of inner transformation we have ever seen.

The amount of love, respect, fear and honor just can’t be suppressed. I don’t know the exact time frame Cus worked & fathered Mike, probably less than 10 years. The work ethic & knowledge he passed on to Mike still has a powerful impact on him present day. Cus was in the last years of his life when this was happening in his existence on earth. I would love to ask Mike how much of what was passed on he uses today. What is in the forefront of his thoughts. Also, his translation of it & how he uses it today for his children & himself. People like Cus make a difference. No matter how long you been alive, some of our best work may be waiting till the end of our story. This is very inspirational & we should share knowledge to make the world a better place. In the end we take nothing with us, materialized or accumulated.
