Took me completely by suprise. Never even knew they existed
@@FoundInTheGroundFITG it’s something you don’t find all the time so it’s class a like it me like
The island was where I got the detecting bug. Had some awesome finds and had a great time as a member of vectis searchers.
Such a beautiful place we really loved it there.
Looked like the travel to your destination was an event in itself. ✌️😎
The journey is often more adventure than the destination
Congratulations on the sliver scout badge. Thanks for taking us with you.
No worries Mark you're always welcome along
Good job
Cheers buddy
The spanner you found is a brake bleeder spanner specifically used to .bleed the brakes on cars
Cool cheers mate. Any idea of age?
@@FoundInTheGroundFITG probably anywhere from late fifties to middle sixties
Nice scouts badge, back from 1914. A real keeper. Cheers mate. 🏴😊👍🇺🇸
Lovely bit of history Martin.
I wish I could find some permission on the Island. Just don't seem to no anyone. A great watch as always, and really well put together
M8 from my experience it’s not just knowing people it’s finding the right people and when you do find the right people make them happy and ask them if they know anyone with land and then they can be a reference also try and do abit research into the land you want that seems to help and tell them you have insurance if ya don’t you don’t get it cause you need it all this helps get land and also asking them to meet in person face to face so they can get to know you and also if you do get land show them the finds tell them you will show them the finds tell them you will do the holes nicely pick up trash and treat it like it’s your own and also offing to help them with things has help me get land hope this helps you m8 check sub to my channel al try help you best a can :)
Limited amount of farms I bet mate
@@FoundInTheGroundFITG yer but it’s not just famers that own land a rang a fencing company that owns a lot of land so it’s worth a go asking about and making your name known and that
Chris. F I N D !!!!!!!!!! Great way to finish off the tour buddy. Great video as always.
Great vid mate shame i missed you. Awesome scout badge mate. Next time come too the battery as said ya welcome
If we ever come over again mate will hit you up.
Hi, I just bought a detector, and joined NCMD. Hope this finds You well. I will be coming to the island a bit later in the Year. Is it possible to get help with permissions at all please? I'm building my channel and really want to add detecting to it
I visited the island and went on a friend permission so I'm afraid it can't help you. If you know anyone who lives there then I would suggest that's where you start. Good luck 👍
This would be a lovely and beautiful place to visit. Thank you for the video.
Mate it absolutely is and better than I could portray.
Well done mate. I love the scout badge.
I.O.W is a nice place. I lived down there for 18 months when I was in my teens. back then the red funnel ferries were a lot cheaper to go across on with a car. Nice easy digging ground.
Mate its beautiful. The ferries are as you say bloomin expensive
Top one Chris, love your editing. Nice bit of silver and nice buckle . Onto the next 👨🏻🦯🤞🏻
Thanks buddy appreciate the love
You will go a long way for 2P. I thought that I had clicked into a travelog there for a moment not that I'm complaining mind. I thought you were indulging in your new hobby.
The tour video had to show the journey for me it was all part of the experience.
@@FoundInTheGroundFITG okay then.
Just got recommended your channel and enjoyed the content and subscribed. Love the scouts badge and look forward to future digs!
Welcome along glad you enjoyed. Great badge isn't it.
Looks awesome, wish I was there mate. Good video.
Great place buddy
I'm pretty sure you could see that coil from space. Good luck!
You're not wrong buddy
Fantastic location and a great dig guys. The Scout badge was awesome, dating 1909 (stopped producing in 1911) and full silver, would have been a Scout Beret Cap Badge, should weigh possibly 4.8grams??? Be interested to kow if it originates from Brimingham. Great stuf, enjoyed the vid, keep 'em coming ✌️
Yeah a mate looked at the hall mark's and came back with that date and place.
That's a soda sifon top
Certainly is mate
Soda siphone
Totally correct buddy
Quite a distance for a scrap of crotal bell, eh? LOL
Hahahaha I love a crotal 🤣
You need to polish up that brass spanner. You will be able to tighten your nuts with that for sure. Plenty of leverage. Alas though I think it is a gravity tap handle off a fuel drum.(Kero for lamps) or even a rainwater tank. You can use it on your nuts though.
Is Liz Australian by chance?
I don't believe so mate.
Great stuff m8...
4:40 is that not a old perfume spray bottle coz a remember them being like that like
Mate could be but we think it's a soda Syphon
@@FoundInTheGroundFITG hoping my channel gets bigger then maybe you will invite me haha
