Buffalo Campground & Dispersed Camping - Buffalo Creek Recreation Area

Buffalo Creek Recreation Area is located in the Pike National Forest about an hour SW of Denver near Bailey Colorado. Buffalo Campground, Green Mountain Campground, and 39 designated dispersed campsites are in the Recreation Area. In this video, we tour the Buffalo Campground and the dispersed camping sites in the area. Wellington Lake is also in the Recreation Area.
Buffalo Creek Recreation Area has access to over 40 miles of trails including Little Scraggy Trail, Tramway Trail, and the Colorado Trail.

This is an awesome video. I tried to book Buffalo Campground today 9/30 but ranger said all campgrounds close Sept 30, so this video was VERY helpful. I am nearing the end of hiking the Colorado trail and needed a campground. This was such an informative video that I subscribed to learn about other dispersed areas. thanks a bunch!

Are the dispersed campgrounds also closed too?

The ranger did tell tell me dispersed camping is available all along 550.
