I bought it for use on my fiber bunnies because the other clipper I had was too loud and made the rabbits jump especially when clipping near their ears. The Bravura cuts angora fiber like a knife cuts through butter. Angora fiber is very fine and this clipper cuts it without jamming. It takes less time to clip a bunny than the charge on the battery. I can get through almost two rabbits with one charge. It is so quiet that even my jumpiest bunny sits still. I make sure to use oil when clipping. I will see how often I need to get the blades sharpened. I am a hobbyist not a commercial fiber person so I suspect it will last for a while. Thanks for the video, now I know how to clean my new clipper.
That's great news! I just ordered these for one of our bunnies who is half angora half lop! So judging by your experience and other reviews I've read they should work great! I'm curious are they able to clip through knotted fur as well? It's hard to keep these bunnies completely free of knots or matting so it would be great if they are able to clip through matted sections as well!
Mark Kennedy you have to get under the mat with the blade to get the mess off. You can switch the Bravura to the 40 setting (all the way to the right) and get the blade between the skin and the mat. You have to be careful to avoid cutting the bunny as their skin is thin. Try to find a spot where you can see the rabbit's skin and use it as a guide as you clip toward the mat. Sometimes people will use a seam ripper to cut through the mat, but make sure the rabbit's skin is not in the way. You can angle the clipper and use a corner to get in there. Just proceed carefully and take it in several sessions if needed. I even used the Bravura on the cat to get a mat out of his thigh area. If the mat is tight to the skin, wait a week for some more fur growth to move the mat away from the skin before you get the blade in there. Good luck. There are several RUclips videos on shearing angoras so give those a look before starting.
Linda Langve Thanks a lot for the detailed response Linda! I'll take all that into consideration and I'll take my time and be extremely careful. After all it's not a race so I'll just proceed at whatever slow and careful pace gets the job done safely. I love my animal companions and I'll do whatever I can NOT to hurt them. Thanks again! :)
What a terrific review, truly! Thank you for making it! In your experience, how is the quietness / loudness of these clippers compared to other clippers (other Wahls, Andis, Oster, etc)?
thank you for enjoying the review. These clippers are as quiet as it gets. My wife uses them for face and feet BC they are quiet. You can use one full body also some say.
5in1, so probably 5 is the longest and 1 is the shortest. sizes #9, #10, #15, #30, and #40 you can also buy 5in1 combs that attach for 7 more longer sizes.
Thanks! Also, one of my 5 in 1 blades fell on the floor and part of the black plastic broke off. Is there any way to fix that, or should I throw it away. I have a backup 5 in 1 blade.
Thanks for the quick reply. The clippers came last night. I've had them charging for over 12 hours and none of the lights are lit yet. I'm thinking it said in the info to charge for 24 hrs at the beginning. Am I doing something wrong? I had it on the dock, plugged in overnight, and this morning I took it out of the dock and plugged it in directly.
Cloud's Diamond Sharpening thanks, other site tell me that bravura o most clipper machine ( without cable) is not A5 type. So other blade like 7f or 40 will not work. Only 5&1 . So recom. to shop km5 or km10.
purchased these less than a year ago and already on the 3rd set of blades. hair constantly gets stuck inbetween the guard and the blades and they blunt so quickly am NOT impressed! however, just purchased and used the andis and they are the BEST clippers for dog grooming! they cut like a hot knife through butter AND because the blades come with the CORRECT length and no need for no. guards the hair NEVER gets caught! i'm a huge fan of wahl but their dog grooming clippers are far too expensive and far too inferior to the andis
sizkar9 theses clippers are great if you use them correctly. The blades can be sharpened. So you know when to expect your package hair folding in the blade has nothing to do with the clipper. Wahl are far superior bc they are cheaper to repair. I know professional dog showers that only use these but they get them sharpened and oil the blades and never have problem. Andis are great but sorry this beats all 5in1 clippers. Also andis 5in1 blades can be sharpened. Good luck.
Porcaria. Só serve para tosa higiênica e olhe lá. A lâmina durou um mês. Perdeu o corte e tem que compra outra lamina. A wahl não dá garantia da lâmina . Pode ler no manual.

Do you know where to get parts for these clippers?
For things like batteries ,circuit boards, you have to go through an authorized Wahl service dealer.
@@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973 yeah I figured that they want $80 to service them. And I don't think they'll sell just the parts.
Thanks for your review. Do you recommend using this for a full body shave down for a toy poodle?
if you clean the poodle really good bc this blade will go dull fast
What about shaving long hair cats with Mats I just got mine and it’s charging haven’t used it yet
It should work good but make sure the hair is cleaned and the blade oiled
Can I use other detachable blades on the Wahl Bravura and what type?
The bravura only takes one style of blade and it is adjustable.
What everyone who has purchased these wants to know--setting adjustment goes from one to five, but does five cut the closest or the longest?
5in1, so probably 5 is the longest and 1 is the shortest. sizes #9, #10, #15, #30, and #40 you can also buy 5in1 combs that attach for 7 more longer sizes.
Are you supposed to oil them as soon as you get them? Or after the first use?
I would recommend both. Oiling beforehand, during, and after use will always prolong the life of the blades and clipper.
with shipping costs to you and back is there much savings? where are you located
yep thats why im in business. im located in Saginaw tx
Could you please tell me how we'd send the blades to you for sharpening? I might like to do that in the future. Thanks.
Ann L Hi. I have a video to help you ship on my website www.diamondedge2015.com
thanks for watching.
Thanks! Also, one of my 5 in 1 blades fell on the floor and part of the black plastic broke off. Is there any way to fix that, or should I throw it away. I have a backup 5 in 1 blade.
Ann L NP. yes I can fix it with a platform.
I'm not sure what that is, but, the cost to fix it, is it less than buying a new one?
Ann L yes
Should you oil the blade more than once during a cut?
Charlie Khan it depends what kind of dog but once a cut should be good.
Thanks. I've ordered the Wahl Bravura and have noted your site for maintenance.

Charlie Khan if it doesn't work you should send back to Wahl for warranty or return for a new one. Where ever you bought it.
what is a good clipper for shaving down most of my big harry dog?
some groomers use them but the dog must be completely clean and dry or the blade wont stand a chance. oil the blade too
A can use other blades? arcos example 7 7f 10 and other blades number( lots of blades) or just walh blades i will shop it but i has that question.
tube200u all Wahl 5in1 blades fit the bravura and a ARCO Se.
