    It's fortunate that it's the ankle (among joints, the ankle has relatively good recovery even if ligaments are torn and can heal naturally). Ethan didn't mean to twist it to the point of breaking; he just intended to twist it enough to get a tap, but it seems like a popping sound occurred. I hope it heals well.

    • @DeepsGnome
      @DeepsGnome Месяц назад +16

      Nah. That's not how it works. You let white belts go if they don't tap, because they didn't know any better. But this guy is trying to prove he is a brown belt. A purble belt, let alone a brown belt should know to tap, and he had a good 5 seconds to tap, and he didn't. That shows he's not at all ready for brown. Ethan gave him plenty of time to tap. If he was just fooling around, he most likely wouldn't tapped to a submission on an ankle. But he really wanted that brown which is why he didn't want to tap. And before you say it's "fictional" many gyms do this when someone requests a promotion. The coach will point out one of he's best competitors, and tell them if they win they can get the belt. I've seen it happen for someone who wanted their purple. A guy wanted his purple, because he thought he deserved it. Injuring ur training partner cus they won’t tap is as dumb as it gets. Just let go and teach him that u gotta learn to tap in time or you might get injured, especially in competition.

    Lots of joking and laughing but breaking ppls legs in training is a sign of complete contempt and arrogance…a huge ego trip. The guy shouldn’t need to go that far, doesn’t matter how stupid his opponent is, he is the higher belt, he had the situation completely in control.
