When selecting an applicable purpose, does the first option mean that the Indian entry visa can only be granted to minors or can a US born citizen over the age of 18 apply for it as long as their parents are of Indian origin?

VFS says offering Entry visas for 6 months / 1 year duration (s) only. So period granted is only 6 months or 1 year depending on what you choose correct ?
Is each stay 180 days only if you know that info ?

I have a question. When we renew our US passports the passport agency didn’t sent our old passports or it’s lost in the mail. I have valid visa in my old passport. How do I get indian visa again without knowing my old visa number. I don’t have any copy for my old visa handy. Is there a way to get a visa. Because the indian visa center need our old visa number. Any suggestions ?

@Suja previous I got 5 years visa and didn't need to provide a renunciation certificate. I want to know I need to renew my visa and want to apply for a 10 years visa, can I still apply without a renunciation certificate? I got the visa without this certificate prior.

And with response defaulted as Yes. I dont see this question during filing so little confused and not sure how to modify it. Kindly share your inputs. Is it still okay to submit the application?

Max 6 months .. then you have to extend the stay .. but don’t have to reapply for visa .. works like USA visitor visa

Hi the youtube video for vfs processing was very helpful. we have a question so if we choose vfs mail , for sending we pay separately such as usps or fed ex or we get a label from vfs for sending to vfs.so basically want to know if sending and receiving both covered by vfs.

That visa is not valid, you either need a new tourist or entry visa

Oci takes 2 months , entry visa takes 2-4 weeks.. yes it’s possible to extend entry visa

Hi Suja, Is there any other way to gat Indian Visa apart from VFS coz i really had very bad experience through VFS. they rip me whole $ 285, i call them and to call them again you have to pay lot of money and no solution came upatlast, it looks like my money is totally gone

I haven't received the confirmation receipt email after making the payment on VFS. the payment was successful , took me to a page saying I will receive an email soon and the amount is also deducted. Anyone experienced this and what was it sorted out. Thanks

1. In case of minor, Thumb impression is enough or parent need to sign along with minor thumb impression on application form ?
2. Additional document for minor - US visa status documents of non-US national parents - Copy - Do we need to send I -797 approval copy , if stamped visa on passport is expired ?
3.Do we need to notarize address proff of minor under 5 ?

I did not send the documents yet but I got the thumb impression on the box below the photo, on 2nd page, thumb impression and the signatures of parents underneath. I will send the documents out tomorrow/Thursday. I will update you of the outcome, if you want to wait.

If your choosing prepaid courier label , you can get from courier service like ups .. but best is vfs offered one

E-visa is electronic (will be received with in 72 hours) , Entry visa is regular paper based visa (takes 2-4 weeks).. Please refer below video for details
