    • @Sdot-od8jf
      @Sdot-od8jf 21 день назад +14

      Bro I’ve always recognized his talent but why is he throwing himself a parade after losing??? That’s not championship mentality. Champs don’t do that. Kobe would be at the gym 5am after losing a game. MJ never threw himself a parade after losing.
      I would rather him be upset with his performance. He made so many mistakes tonight - all coachable. But he needs to be angry with himself. I’d respect him more. That’s champ mindset.

    • @MyHandleIs
      @MyHandleIs 20 дней назад +1

      Yeah I don't understand why we encourage fighters to not acknowledge reality & sometimes encourage them to be straight up delusional, & act as if them lieing to their selfs is what it takes for their mindset to be that worthy of a champion's. In any other line of work usually ppl would consider that characteristic as being detrimental to the person's mental health & consider it likely to lead to negative consequences. Maybe this is a big part of why Tony's in the situation he's in .

    • @shawdnaasty
      @shawdnaasty 20 дней назад +8

      @Sdot-od8jf bro this is fighting not basketball. The man is busted up and hurt there's no going to the gym straight after you fight. Some minor improvements and he will be back better.

    • @Sdot-od8jf
      @Sdot-od8jf 20 дней назад +4

      @@shawdnaasty I understand but his attitude should be different. If he truly believed in himself, he would’ve been upset with losing. To me, it shows he expects very little of himself, so he’s happy he survived and lost the decision.
      I was great at math but bad at social studies. I would be upset getting a A- in math, but celebrate getting C+ in social studies. It’s because I knew I could do better in math, and C+ is the best I could do in social studies. Ian is happy with a C+ in fighting.
      Even Conor was so angry with his losses he would go to the gym the next day. When GSP lost, he was so embarrassed he didn’t want to go out in public.

    Ian Machado Garry shocked a whole lot of people tonight. He went 5 rounds with an absolute KILLER and held his own. Garry took Shavkat’s best shots and ate them, which I believe frustrated Shavkat at times. On top of that, Garry nearly submitted Shavkat! Garry is the real deal, and hopefully this is the confidence fight that propels him forward to a streak that leads to a rematch with Shavkat for said belt.
    That being said, Shavkat looked a little rusty today…he mentioned having some problems leading up to the fight… maybe an injury of some sort. Bottom line is, he got the job done and retains his perfect record. I think he will have big problems against Belal if he has the type of performance he had tonight. I hope this was just an off night and he bounces back strong to beat the BULLY out of Belal. Go Shavkat!

    Nah he was too scared to open up. Fought too defensively which is understandable. He should’ve let loose more, hes got a built in excuse “i stepped up on short notice!😮” So people could try and like him again.

      If you ever competed or fought you would know that the first few rounds are always break it or leave it. You either open up more or you get psychologically weak and just be like Leon edwards against Belal.

    • @Unclesteve16

      @ what do you mean, leon did nothing that fight and chose to get dominated. I hear what your saying but Leon literally did nothing that fight. Its a bad example

      @@Unclesteve16 Again some fighter go over the fear of the first round some don't if you unable to understand it go sign up to any combat sports train a bit and go to a competition. You will instantly notice that the first round your legs don't feel the same your arms are heavier and etc. And some people manage to climb over that feeling some stay and loose like Leon.
