Hamilton seems like such a cool guy. Life is so much simpler when there's common courtesy and respect. Love supporting those type of shops/dealers.

If you look after your customers money, you will always make money. That is the lesson in this. These guys are the perfect example.

As a guy who paid a weekly Snap On bill for years I can tell you that they have great tools and if you have a great dealer then you get great service but you need to be careful and not get in over your head and if you are struggling you need to be aware there are a lot of good alternatives.

How any tech can make 500.00 wk tool payments is beyond me! Even 100.00 a week sounds NUTS!

I have also walked a long road with my Snap On guy. He has looked after me, but I look after him. Both of us are happy 👍

I’m a lube tech but working my way up. I was doing A LOT of tire jobs and rotates. Snap on guy came by and I went on that truck with $0 down he gave me a torque wrench on a truck account. I didn’t bring a card that day because I kept telling myself I wasn’t going to go there cause I couldn’t afford it. I was planning on getting a gear wrench torque wrench but they haven’t been available for awhile now. Moral of the story, treat your tool dealers right because when you need something bad, they might help you out even if it’s a bit of a risk for them. For all he knew, I’d have got that wrench and fled the country, him being out $600. Thanks Ricky and his boy Cody. Good dealers so far and hopefully for a long time.

The tech/dealer relationship is bigger than anything. I’m to the point now where I can run up my account to 2/3k and only pay 50 a week. But I understand how it hurts my dealer and I don’t want to treat him that way. Also, he understands if I need to miss a payment a week and allows me to skip a week if needed. He’s very flexible and I appreciate that! Very happy with my dealer

I used to pay 350 a week. That was when I first started. I build my tool box in like 2 years. Now I barely buy tools.

It actually kills me that mechanics are paid 10 hr that are ASE certified. I wouldn’t even get out of bed for that. As an apprentice I started just over 20. Not certified. Poor fellas. 20 Canadian is like 4 bucks American tho. Lol.

Thank God for the truck account concept. I don't really feel like running my credit for tools.

That shop sounds like a Caliber Collision. We charge the same to insurances for pres and post in burbank. I'm the mechanic and I do the scans, diags, a/c, and our snap on guy comes on Friday aswell.

You hit the nail on the head when you said "You need to take of your dealer, and he'll take care of you."
