I'd definitely recommend a gearing change or a chain tensioner at the least, it doesn't take much to rip those sprockets teeth apart. Love the build your doing amazing on it, can't wait to see what you have in store for it!
How bad was it to bolt to the block did you have to make a bracket to mount it to the block? Building a golf cart and looking to get one of the gearboxes

It was weird since it’s bolted underneath and a very unconventional way. But it works great, k made some brackets/tabs and welded it and sent it
You need to make a good chain tensioner

is this the FNR gearbox rated for a max of like 7 hp?
Yeah it’s the little one, the big one that’s rated for more has been sold out for the longest time. So I went with the little one
