So collabing with Yoongi was the greatest decision ever after 5 years. This is the most epic collab of two of the biggest stars in kpop industry!. And that's a FACT!!

Despite their actual age, PSY is youthful, while Yoongi is an old soul, so that's why they were able to relate to and click with each other very well even when there's a considerably big age gap between them. They compliment each other and their chemistry is amazing, definitely one of the best collabs of the year!

What I love about Korean culture is that they all respect their seniors, especially those who paved way for the new generation of kpop that the world enjoys today
Totally agree! I wrote my own comment but its along the lines as yours, about how Koreans respect there seniors. As someone who has been a fan of kpop for 14 years and a fan of BTS for 8, it makes me SO happy to hear Suga say "he paved the way for K-POP in the US, that we were able to follow his footsteps with ease." I think a lot of solo BTS fans (specifically new ones) like to say "BTS PAVED THE WAY" and yes that is true in some respects but there are DIFFERENT ways of "paving the way". There isn't just one clear cut example, there were many idols and groups before them that allowed for the success BTS was able to achieve. Like lets looks at BoA and The Wonder Girls, they were very much some of the first to make baby steps in the west outside of Korea. I remember being bullied for listening to this "weird foreign music" in middle school and high school. Gangnam Style came out while I was in high school and I CLEARLY remember that was the first time all these people who bullied me actually acknowledged kpop, they liked the song. These white country kids sang and danced to it, they still made fun of kpop but this was there first real grasp of it.
I could list on and on all the examples of different ways certain idols paved the way. These groups and idols opened the door, but BTS are the ones making sure that door stays open. For me they were the first (not the legit first) but the first modern group to kinda make it there whole identity to sing about mental health, bullying, societal pressure, wealth hierarchy, etc. You had OG's like Seo Taiji and Boys doing that but BTS were kinda the group to make that stick and now you see so many other groups focus on real lyrics, they are writing and composing songs themselves....that used to not be the norm with other groups, it happened but it wasn't as common as it is now. I got to witness first hand BTS grow from this underdog group to the world stars they are today, but let us not forget the efforts of people before them. BTS themselves sing and write about their inspirations in their songs, they talk about their own idols in interviews, if THEY THEMSELVES can admit and pay respect to other artists....then so should the fans.
@@CheerUp2 yes there were baby steps and BTS stood out because they take a big step and their continuous hard work make them stand where they are today and they still humble and respectful to their senior,, and let's appreciate how psy said he was rooting for them bc he want them to achieve more and gets bigger and reach what he didn't like pls 0.0009 idols now wish that to their senior let alone group in another generation under u psy just one of the Legends

I want to say that I listen to “that that” daily bc it’s my serotonin. The song is so good, I can’t even express how happy it made me knowing Yoongi enjoyed working with psy, & I’m glad Psy made him get involved more & more lol they created a song that will go down to history
I absolutely love how Psy says "Our Yoon-gi" 💜 It encapsulates the genuine partnership, mutual admiration and inspiration which Psy and Yoongi share. I am incredibly happy that they had so much fun while creating "That that" as you can actually feel the good energy while listening to the song and you can't help but fall in love with it. When this song came out, I was personally still trapped in winter. I loved the song, but wasn't ready for spring yet. It wasn't until recently I'm starting to see spring. I put this song on higher rotation on my Playlist.

I LOVED this insight into the whole process leading up to the release of That That. So glad Yoongi was able to have such fun working with PSY. It's such a pleasure to see how PSY perfectly grasped the immense depth and breadth of Yoongi's ability. It really is something special to be able to capture raw emotion while being trendy and commercial. It's quite rare to see a blend of the two. Makes for a great skill-set for a producer. I'm also very grateful BTS had him to turn to when they were struggling with the weight of their success. Much respect!

almost feels like an insane adventure for these two for PSY to bring in K-Pop more recognizable here in the US back in 2014 and for BTS to rise to the top in 2017 it must be insane for them it’s like seeing a childhood Kpop idol passing down the baton to the next gen of Kpop, it gives me butterflies and happiness to see these two collab and talking like childhood friends.

I'm from Canada and I remember Psy'sGangnam Style music video's release. It made me happy. I wasn't the best at dancing but I enjoyed trying. I'm an introvert so this song made me feel free; I've got osteoarthris in my lower back and both knees, now, so dancing isn't easy. I still I enjoy That That. I'm Army. I'm glad for Psy's comeback with Yoongi. I'm glad it all worked out for both of them.This makes me smile and happy for both of them.
Two different worlds collided, and we got a masterpiece. This collaboration would be one of the bestest ones ever. Psy music is totally different to that of suga's, so it was fun seeing them collaborate. Both of them are way too talented

It's so nice that Psy is someone who openly and happily supports younger musicians and wanted to share advice to them. He has the spirit of a wise mentor and that's so valuable to have. It must have been wonderful for Suga to discover that the man he admired was not only a nice, warm person but that Psy also looked at his skills and respects them. It's always scary to meet your heroes but such a relief when they're as lovely as you hoped.
