Very nice one you two. 1. Where is this? (you probably mentioned it somewhere, but I missed it); 2. @3:58 Hehe. I loved that laugh of yours - now you will understand, "die agteros kom ook in die kraal". (In this instance, a cow). Really a good video about "die grondpaaie" en rural life. Great! (I love Sonia's questions and comments in the background and the fact that I can hear it. Just the right volume.)
Wow! Thank you soo much for this awesome video! Gosh the detail and the info amazing! Absolutely loved the last cow who came in last. Her body language spoke volumes! The lady called Anne, wonderful to see her at work.
It's a fascinating process and this lady was very skilful. I have a distant memory of milking a cow or three, but can't remember any details.🐮 I so enjoyed watching them as they were heading towards the dairy when it was time to be milked. You're way back in our videos now, I think this was the end of our second documented trip. 😁🚗
I love, love, LOVE your farm stays and this one captured me in a big way! I adore cows - they give off such a peaceful aura - huge soft eyes and muzzles - melt my heart.
I just love staying on farms too, it's a whole atmosphere thing and the entire experience is a wonderful one, especially for us who live in a big town, but love the wide open spaces and of course the gravel roads leading to and from everywhere. This was the closest Sonia has ever come to cows and that bull was absolutely amazing. There was a leaking pipe which the farm owner had just repaired a day or so prior to our visit, but they had become spoilt with the water which was leaking from the pipe and now had to walk a long way to reach water again. So my darling wife put out a bowl for them so that they could drink from it and not have to walk so far, at least for the time we were there. 😍🐂🐂
I remember that day well! I just loved the cow that arrived last, so cool! The milking of cows is quite an involved process and repeated twice a day if I remember correctly. 🐄😍 So glad you enjoyed.

This was on a farm just outside Bonnievale called Sanddrift. I'm really happy you enjoyed it. Thank you.

I really enjoyed it on this farm.
I remember in the early sixties as a young boy . I use to watch my granddad milk his cows by hand at Piketberg.
