ここ数年島に行って無いですが、
還暦祝いで妻と行きたく成りましたね、

私は詳しく知らず、ざっとネットで調べてみたのですが…
"喜界島にある城久遺跡群と周辺の二つの遺跡からは、11世紀後半～12世紀における製鉄の形跡も見つかっていて"
"俊寛が流罪にされたのは平安時代末期の1177年（治承元年）の鹿ケ谷の陰謀により"
の情報があったので島民はいたのでは、と思いました。
