As a woman I’d hate to hurt another woman by messing around with their man. I wouldn’t sleep at night knowing there’s another woman crying every night by something I contribute in that hurt. It’s really one of the cruelest thing to do to another human being.

I have been a marriage counsellor for 13 yrs., & I've heard this scenario countless times. It never ends well, because the wife/partner never, ever forgets. I've been in this scenario myself, & I know the questions Mandy is asking herself. If this relationship with Brooklyn is a one off, then it's possible that it can be repaired, but if he, as suggested, has had many more before Brooklyn, then the gravity alters the possible outcome. We live in a society where people make commentary on things as though everything needs to be a knee jerk reaction signalling a 'strong woman' - in this case saying she should leave. Sometimes the strong woman is someone who looks at the time and emotions invested in a long marriage, the responsibilities involved, such as children and meeting their needs, and financial stability, and weighing all this against the long term consequences of dissolving a marriage - not just financial and raising children but also in relation to starting all over again for companionship. It must not be an easy decision.

I feel like that girl, even though she's in the wrong also, was ignored. The older woman would hardly let her speak, and of course if you're going to put an 18 year old girl on live tv, when she's in the wrong, she is GOING TO BE DEFENSIVE. What did they think was going to happen? She was just going to say "Sorry" and then they would hug it out? It wasn't handled well. And the way that the audience clapped in the girls face every time the woman (who was literally twice her age) said something slightly mature? It's humiliation to be fair, and this is coming from a fifteen year old!

There’s a video before this one that shows the eighteen year old’s attitude-and it’s not a good one. She’s provoking the married woman. People go onto Dr Phil to be humiliated; they both went willingly. They can both face any judgement, I’m sure, if they’re ‘grown women’.
A former friend of mine once confessed that he had love affair while married to his wife, his mistress went on to tell his wife about their affair only after being upset about picking up an STD...it turned out the mistress got lonely when he was with his wife and family and would seek to sleep with other men. This mistress fell out of their picture and their marriage has chaotically continued. I can’t understand how low a woman’s self esteem and self respect must be to work things out after such betrayal; these men are not worthy of the love they receive from these broken women they choose as wives. Life is too precious to live in such chaotic relationships.

I bet you any money if she actually divorces her husband, most of that stress induced weight gain would fly off without her even trying. Same thing happened to me when I left my ex, I was overweight the entire relationship due to comfort eating to stop feeling stressed. Once I left I didnt need the food for comfort as the main source of stress was gone
