I take nothing wrong with Qatar bringing the worlds biggest party to the Middle East for the first time but the idea is more a political whitewash by the regime than developmental from FIFAs perspective. Yes the more practical for them participating was supposed to be a multi host by the Emirates region esp Saudi Arabia, UAE and of course Qatar . Other than that Israel was a better solo choice all speaking from a developmental perspective but more so practical was Australia and NZ actually winning the bid to create a 1994 feeling down under

I know qatar is absolute monarchy but qatar has a high quality of life , unemployment doesn’t exist, the country is very safe , people are happy So why you guys wanna fix things are unbroken? Haven’t you learn anything from the invasions of iraq and Libya ?
