When the Song of Aubrac image popped over the Musc Tonkin segment, I thought you were going to talk about mixing those together and I waited with baited breath... then I realized it was an editing glitch. I do happen to really like both of those. 😉
I have a similar routine with assessing perfumes and knowing when to, appreciatively, send them on their way. I have no desire to have a massive collection (although, that number is quite relative, I’m sure), and am happy to let go if it doesn’t still tempt me in some way.
We’ve been sampling SL Ambre Sultan over here. I love the slightly medicinal quality and it smells even better on my husband.
Ambre Sultan is a jewel.
I really wish i could be more in the moment when i choose a perfume to wear. This is my challenge for next year

Musc Tonkin is alluring, i do believe there’s jasmine in it although not listed on Fragrantica. It’s indolic floral and musky powdery in a good wearable way. I should also take out my bottle and wear more. I have been mainly wearing “white musk” perfumes, fruity milky musk, Musk Therapy, Gaiac 10, Another 13 (ambergris), Lumière Blanche and some summer freshies from Hermes 😊
I am always jealous this time of year when it's getting colder here in southern hemisphere and warmer in the north
@@TheScentinel hahaha, I’m in Hong Kong. I have more fun with my winter perfumes than summer ones. Summer is steamy hot and humid, cannot wear something too sweet, dense or syrupy in texture or else people would run away from me in the metro 🤣🤣🤣.

@@Sweet_N_Sour_Princess I was just in Taiwan and really got a sense of how restricting the steamy, hot, and humid weather can clamp down your choices. I do appreciate being able to have time for both a cold and warm weather rotation.

Always nice to see your weekly rotation 👍🤓. I do the same. I'm rotating through all my bottles & i prepare the whole week in advance. I got 2 Parfum D'Empire bottles (ambre russe & acqua di Scandola). Buying a 3rd in fall (Aziyade).

Nice lineup! This week, I ordered Parfum d’Empire’s Tabac Tabou as well as two blind buys of Corsica Furiosa and Fougere Bengale…all from a discounter for a price I couldn’t pass up. Also, Papillon Dryad, also from a discounter. A lot, I know, but just couldn’t resist!

Another great rotation video :) I try to rotate about 6 perfumes out of the collection to use and display for a month, but sometimes get bored and sneak in another fragrance or two. Today I wore Deja Vu from Teo Cabanel for a pick me up. Have a great week!
Thank you. I think next year, i am going to get out of my comfort zone and actually try and pick them each day, based on mood/occasion/weather.

@@TheScentinel - This is what I'm typically doing. Admittedly, there are some days where I do get stuck for a few minutes deciding, but I enjoy letting the mood/occasion/weather take me where it will.

A very long time ago, but i really don't remember much.
I was a bit disappointed with its delicateness. I wanted more from it. Really wanted to get more of the cigarette. To me it just smells like camomile.
I have fallen in love with it tho.
