Well, this is about as good as it gets. Thanks guys. VERY entertaining. As I was watching this, I was thinking 'Do I have any perfumes that fit into this discussion?' Not really. But then you mentioned Ganymede and I was like yup, I have one. I enjoyed B683 and tried Ganymede in the store and loved it because it felt like the suede version of B683. Bought it on the spot and now I can't handle it. Way too strong for me. The Immortelle in the dry down it quite nice, but who wants to wait 6+ hours for that to happen. I guess I don't love all of the "Modern Masterpieces" as it's been coined.

Everyone has their own opinions, but NYI is always a fun ride. It changes all of the time. To say that it is the same from start to finish, makes me think two things. On my skin, it's an 8 hour journey, constantly going North, then West, etc. The second thing, is that I'll take my skin over the two of you. Have a good one.

Haha nice hot take with the New York Intense. I happen to love it, I completely disagree with Ryan about general linearity of Nicolai, drydown of New York Intense is very different than first hour or two and is the best part imho. I like it much more than Bois De Portugal or Lalique Lion. Cuir Cuba is kinda linear, fair enough. I don't get the hype about Patchouli Intense though. Great stream, have a good day.

Haha, @thetrueconnoisseur, joke's on you, I sold my bottle of Camel too. I was kind of bored of it. I don't unlike it but it just became meh in my collection.

Wish I had caught you live, Pep! The thought that crossed my mind towards the end of the recording might have been an interesting topic for discussion: were there any fragrances that you felt any compulsion to like/love? In any case, I chose this instead of music whilst exercising and glad I did :)

I sold my bottles of Guerlain L'homme Ideal L'intense,Blue De Chanel Parfum and Amouage Beach Hut Man... Senses are changing and evolving, it is part of the hobby 😊 and i am happy that i have decants of some frags that saved me money.. Nice stream 🙃

Ganymede is probably the most overhyped masculine-leaning fragrance in fragcom now xd, my hot take

Right there with you guys on New York Intense! I once thought it was the best “Guerlain” masculine since Héritage… until I realized there was no need to go further than the aforementioned. NYI became scratchy and gummy to me halfway through my second 30ml bottle, whereas Héritage remains a pleasure to wear each and every time.
Love this discussion topic, especially hearing what you ended up preferring to once-loves.

For me it was the Aqva line from Bvlgari. Recently wore Aqva Amara which is probably my fav now, but ever since I became sensitive to woody ambers, it's so easy for me to detect them in there. Kind of ruined the illusion of aquatic-ness for me. 🥴

Aqua Amara nearly made my list, but I never really LOVED it.

@@TheScentinel Me neither. I was more about the OG. Those 'strength of the ocean' comments about Amara were comical though, remember? 😆 Never mind the rotten eggs that Cody got, 'twas a neroli incense woody amber, plain and simple.

Aqva Amara is such an odd fragrance. I recall enjoying the drydown but disliking the synthetic mandarin.

Terrific stream chaps ,I enjoyed is immensely, we all gotta put our hands up and concur with how our noses and tastes can do a U turn on our once loved Scents, oh how fickle the nose can be lol 😂🙏👍

@@TheScentinel absolutely right when all is said and done can’t think of any other situation that when someone says they don’t like a subject or food , colour, car, shoe etc that they actually get backlash for their god given personal right of taste and preference like what I’ve seen in the fragrance community, it simply boggles my mind ??👍

You have no idea how overjoyed I was when Ryan said that he didn’t understand the creations of Quentin Bisch. I despise many of them because of the utilization of over projecting aromachemicals in his creations like akigalawood. It’s a great honest discussions, gentlemen!
