It's actually kinda fitting that they described Final Shape as a story told around a campfire considering campfire stories are often sporadic and unplanned, much like the story of Destiny has been. Only the average campfire story doesn't have hundreds of millions of dollars and 10 years behind it, so Destiny doesn't have an excuse for the quality of the storytelling.
Idk if they'll ever do this....doubt it. But I'd love more roleplay elements added to destiny. i think the nail in the coffin is genuinely not a new enemy race, it cheapens both the gameplay and the story, narrative wise it makes no sense to be in this brand new unprecedented world and be fighting the exact same enemies that have been here for a decade, like “here’s the scary unfamiliar threat, now go fight the boring and familiar enemies”, and gameplay wise they really don’t do enough to make it engaging for long time players
Imagine being at the bungie round table discussing what will make TFS unique and they’re like "we should add a brand new enemy race that is both eldritch and outstanding compare to the other four" then you have joe replying with "No that is too much, just add a new unit with a unoriginal design aka mini rulk".
The whole separate vacuum sealed experience comment is basically a tacit admitance that the ip is a complete mess and that the only way to appreciate it is by ignoring 90 percent of what they've delivered prior. 💀
The progression for me is crazy where in 2014 when I started destiny I was a dumb kid and thought it was awesome because I haven’t played anything like it that was way better but as I grew older I kinda started to see it’s flaws and after light fall I don’t even play it anymore because of its toxic fomo cycle
I'm so glad I dipped before even Lightfall came out. Destiny 2 was bad, but holy shit this is just pathetic. More of the same bullshit they've been pedalling for years now and people still wanna give to this skinner box. I really hope the community turns on Bungie more. I need to see them crash and burn so we can stop watching them parade around the corpse of the once beloved studio. I'm so sad they have their grubby hands on Marathon.
I feel like Bungie is obsessed with telling you how you should feel instead of allowing you to come up with your own conclusion. I guess every dev does that to some degree but with Bungie it's so excessive.
That's why the media illiterate fans who keep defending this shit like it so much. Why come to your own conclusions on a story and think when you can just get Marvel-brained about everything and just be hyped for the thing the marketing team tells you.
I definetly think Zavala was better built out than Ikora in Destiny 1, particularly during Taken King at the same time Cayde-6 was. While Cayde was the rule breaker pushing things to get the job done, Zavala was the stoic leader type who kept more within the lines. Which is why it's been so interesting seing Destiny 2 test him time and time again. The major flaw this reveal had though is that we focus on the core Vanguard members, one of which has been dead for going on 5 years at this point. No sight of characters who've proven much more interesting such as Eris Morn, Drifter, Saint-14 even Crow.... I do hope some of that extended cast is given some time to sign in this moment of culmination. Especially Crow, a Guardian we've seen specifically guided by the Traveler like ourselves and now attempting to fill Cayde's shoes. Would be nice to see that paid off.
Crow will probably be relevant when we get to the Distributary, but Cayde is supposed to be a sort of manifestation of the Traveler here, it seems like itll have its place if anything.
Imo it should have been the whole destiny cast going into the traveler to have that avengers moment. Have a bunch of the characters die and sacrifice themselves to make sure we can reach the witness's citadel. Have it be like Noble team from Reach
What they don't seem to realize is that no one really became a character until Cayde's death in Forsaken. It was honestly the catalyst for them telling a character focused story in any capacity. It's awful that the seasonal model means some of the most significant character moments can only be experienced on YT and never in game.
Yeah, you’re right tbh. Cayde was the only real character aside from MAYBE Eris, until he died and it actually forced them to write for the other characters. And temporary seasons actually having relevant character and story writing in seasons has always been a double-edged sword. It is honestly fun to experience, but the fact that players onboarded after the season has been rotated out basically only get that story in recap-cutscenes is… pretty shit, yeah.
@@yourewrong9028 I'd give Eris the credit, personally. She isn't always plot relevant (nobody is tbf) but when she showed up she showed out, as far as Destiny standards go.
I remember when I first heard of IHE not enjoying a destiny expansion and I was shocked. Now here I am at 21 y/o, and I completely understand his view. The magic isn’t the there, yet we always will get the next DLC
Lol also 21 so been involved since my teens, and post-Witch Queen was the last straw for me. I returned for that DLC, had fun, and then remembered the season pass system and decided I didn't want to spend $100 a year playing this game
The witness would be infinitely more menacing if it were faceless. Why would they give it these Pixar looking eyes and that goofy monobrow when it's supposed to be the most menacing threat ever!?
I think there’s something more to his appearance. Remember in Lightfall where Calus had that nightmare after talking with the Witness about not securing the veil? There’s something scary about him we don’t quite know yet
I think part of it is more the uncanniness and goofiness is meant to show that it doesn't belong in the world? I mean, it's literally an entire race of Traveler haters merged into one body. My guess is some aspects got emphasized with that, kind of like how when you average out 500 male faces or 500 female faces and the dominant / prevalent traits sort of bleed together.
*sigh* I wish Destiny 2 would just end. Destiny has had the capacity to be great but time and time again Bungie just squanders it and some of the new stuff looks cool but we unfortunately know that the substance will be lacking. Plus the story has been so shallow that at this point, it doesn't feel like an epic ending to a saga, it just feels like a reminder of the time, money, and potential that has been wasted
@Siaman668 because this is supposed to be the end, based on the fact that it's the traveller's ultimate enemy you're faced with, yaknow, the reason behind the story and the linchpin for the majority of all the stories up to now. Anything after this, if it isn't a new set up, is kinda unecessary.
@@eb-the-gamer6287so we're just casually going to ignore the dozens of storylines still left in the game, and the myriad of existance ending level threats out in the universe? (Like the Vex having entire solar systems under their control completely terraformed, the Nine still trying to find a way to separate themselves from reality so they can become actually inmortal in every way, the Aphelions casually drifting in and out of reality, leaving entire planets destroyed in their wake, Clovis still being free to do whatever he needs to become a God, among many other stories).
@@Siaman668you need to remember. A special kind of person likes FF14. I don't like them and I don't trust them. Destiny fans are the opposite, they're poor souls just overdosing on Stockholm syndrome
I'll play The Final Shape just to fulfill my almost 10 year self-inflicted obligation to this series and that's it. I'm done. P.S. Love Bungie discovering a 3 Act structure. Took them long enough.
The original Bungie knew how to make a 3 act story, as evidenced by their older games. This skinsuit Bungie that pretends they're the team that made those old games has no idea how to make anything other than a basic teen drama or just follows MCU tier trends.
Ive noticed a lot whenever they reveal a destination theyll show a bunch of different areas and youll wonder what else there is and how big it is. Then when you play it there isnt really that much in between the areas they show and it ends up being pretty small. I remember when they revealed the throne world i was excited by the underworld area but then when it came out it wasnt nearly as big as i thought and it was a very narrow linear area used for a mission.
I agree but Europa was pretty massive ngl but yeah nothing will ever compare to the Dreadnaught or Dreaming City when it comes to secrets and massive areas that are beautiful and extremely vibrant, I can still go to the dreaming city right now and find areas I've probably never gone to before even as a vet lol.
@@Slavic_Snake that's why I said it doesn't really compare since its a lot of empty space but it's still better then Neomuna, the moon and savathuns throne world 🤷♂️
Neomuna is probably the worst of the dlc worlds, *_every_* trailer advertised it as highly vertical, and a free run heaven, with characters jumping and falling off of rooftops
See I dont even hate if there isn't a new race. What i want more of is those Pyramid units. Their design aesthetic being slightly alien Victorian and weird striated fleshiness is amazing. Add more units like Rhulk, Tormentor, Subjagators. Their weird spindly forms and chunky meater hulkiness is very different from 90% of what we've had.
I mean at that point you are just describing a new enemy race, which is what we should've had in Shadowkeep or Arrivals tbh. I thought the Tormentors were going to finally be the start of the rest of the iceberg that started with Rhulk and we were going to get a a bunch of fucked up yet very colorful darkness enemies. But no, the pyramids are literally just empty spaceships and nothing more.
The pyramids are but empty shells. The units you mention are about the closest fans are gonna get to having a new enemy faction. Personally I don’t know why Bungie doesn’t use the Tormentors again for this the final Light/Darkness expansion and being out of the Destiny loop for so long , I have no idea what a Rhulk is.
They're one hundred percent going to intentionally under deliver on pretty much every front. Because, sadly, there are probably more people who would finally stop playing Destiny if the story of the Traveler and the Witness was concluded in a satisfying way, than people who would quit if they were once again shafted by Bungie. Also what is with their weird format of having developers explain the DLC to... other developers? Like shouldn't all these people already know what's going to be in it and everything? Why not just explain it to the camera? Why does it need to be formatted like baby's first novel where the characters spout exposition at other characters who should already know it.
I was just thinking that! I think it's kinda of funny how it seems like they're trying to disguise the devs talking at the audience how they should feel about the game by having the guy talking to his lady co-worker friend. She keeps acting like she's wowed by what he's saying and "no waay!" But... she knows all of this already. You guys work at the same job, working on the exact same thing. I think it's just an excuse to say "you're going to think or feel this way about this-", that "You" statement without just talking at the audience.
Reminds me about one horrible scene from Persona 5 where the main antagonists are siting across the desk and describing the plot to each other for 30 minutes straight, even thought both of them already know it, both that scen and this whole "trailer/revel" thing give heavy "we don't trust you to understand story on your own so we are gona explain it to you in the most obtuse and blant way possible" vibe.
No no it makes sense, the many teams in the studio DON'T communicate with one another at all. Like how alot of seasons/dlc will lack quality of life improvements etc that previois ones had etc. The whole company is disjointed af when you step back and look at 'the big picture'
@DrakeBS757 What you're saying is also right and makes sense, but the problem in this video (and what I find funniest) is that in multiple segments (if not all), the devs talking at each other as if they don't know are from the same department. In some cases, the person acting like they don't know is the one person who should know because they're the one whose job it is to have worked on the very thing they're talking about.
Because the grand enemy wasn't supposed to be one entity called "The Witness" it was actually one new massive enemy faction using the darkness and now want to control the light and you can see that in the their 5 races photo by bungie but I guess D2 engine can't handle a new massive enemies so they just rewrite them into one enemy
@@katsudon1237 Also, Ballas, who was great. Although I think they kind of dropped the ball on the sentients, they came off as weak toadys in New War to me.
I wish Bungie would add a mode like Prison of Elders or some kind of wave mode that wasn’t tied to season activities. Playing a horde/wave mode with increasing difficulty and better rewards that is updated over time I think would be a great idea
The Ghost "not knowing" why it brought you back to life and instead just doing it "because of a feeling" is not only untrue by the game's own story, but also just bad, intentionally ambiguous writing similar to The Speaker's "I could tell you" scene way back in vanilla Destiny 1. Also having the Ghost say "after all we've lost" on a shot of Cayde back from the dead probably isn't the best idea given that Cayde's death was one of the biggest losses faced by our character in the entire story.
That's why Bungie needed to stall for time: so their uncreative writing team can crib their plot from a decades old anime (and using a plot that's become a literal trope in anime)
I honestly cannot stand the way bungie presents their news. The weird stilted delivery sounds like he's reading from a prompter. They got the sweeping music in the background as if i'm supposed to feel something. He doesn't even sound like he believes what he's saying.
Always happy to hear what you have to say about Destiny. I play it a lot and love it, good parts and bad, but your critical eye and focus on the narrative content is something I appreciate because I also play mostly as a solo story person and next to nobody gives it the focus you do
12:05 Ah yes. "Deepen our relationship with these characters we've known for so long." These are definitely incredibly well written and interesting characters that we know so much about. Their hopes, their dreams... how they stand and say "hello guardian"
me, being a lore-buff, going “but they are!! in the lOrE!!!” …. the lore that Bungie has struggled so badly tell directly to its playerbase… cant argue with ya entirely lmao
Destiny does actually have some legitimately good characters now though. Eris, Drifter, Crow, Mara, Zavala, Savathûn. There are more, but those are the ones I would confidently call well-written even outside of lore cards.
I honestly think this is one of the most pathetic reveals of “new” content I’ve ever seen. The way they try to word it to make it interesting you can really feel them reaching to say anything meaningful and just coming up with nothing
The truth is that nostalgia can be used effectively assuming you've done enough work building your world and characters giving the player memorable moments that can be called back for thematic purposes from making you care about what happens to a beloved character to despising a villain who maybe stole said character away from you. Not be one of those people who bring it up every chance they get but a good example of this is FF14's Endwalker...that thing is FULL of nostalgia but it serves a purpose, it makes sense and is used to recontextualise everything that's happened over the course of the game's decade long story leading to some truly incredible moments... none of which I'll spoil here just in case. The sad part is Destiny HAS done a lot of worldbuilding but the vast majority of players don't experience it because it's either hidden away in seasonal content or behind some other obtuse system, it's weirdly gatekept from most casual players. I get the feeling the payoff in Destiny will amount to "remember that time you went through a hive base on the moon"...that was kinda cool right...right?...wanna do it again?... what do you mean no?
I just want to say that "The Light and Darkness Saga" has got to be one of the worst names for a story ever. They might as well have called it "Good guys vs. Bad Guys".
Light and Dark being good and bad hasn’t been a thing in Destiny for the past 4-5 years. The whole point of one of the DLC’s was to prove that Light and Dark have to co-exist, and that anyone can use Light or Dark for good or for evil. They’re just elements in the universe. Just say you don’t know anything about the game before commenting.
The destiny story just feels like they’re constantly scrambling for a reason to keep it going without ever resolving a single plotline, I feel so bad for fans of the franchise
i think it’s so strange that they have so much focus on new players in this expansion, while also having the entire new destination based around the past important areas of destiny. I don’t think it would be a good choice to sacrifice the ultimate expansion for the sake of new players, but at the same time how can you make this expansion, and ALSO focus on new players? it just doesn’t seem like a entirely focused vision.
also, even with the new added story missions the new light onboarding is not very good, so for them to say they want new players to be able to play this expansion is so weird
And unlike chief, there isn't any excuse for the guardian to be lucky, it wouldn't have had to be our ghost, it could have been Glint, Sagira, Fynch or Sundance that resurrected us. There's nothing special about our ghost, just that we're his guardian.
The LFG art looks exactly like the assets shown in the orbit screen of their vidocs from 2013. It’s also really convenient that they didn’t mention prices for “episodes,” meaning they’ll probably function like Valorant episodes: 10$ each. So instead of buying four things a year, people will be buying 9! What a win for nobody but Bungie
27:35 i laughed so hard when i realize not a single one of these were fresh cutscenes just bungies trademark of reusing stuff I’ve already seen a million times, then I almost started crying (from laughter) when i remembered you cant even play this shit anymore because they removed it from the game without a second thought for more eververse space.
I hope either the final shape ends with the light and dark fusing then exploding and reforming the universe into something more balanced, losing their egos in the process. Then the next game can either be something new based on that newy formed universe, or it could be a game about the past (end of the golden age?) where we get to actually experience all the epic stories from the lore.
You are really not alone in this jaded feeling… in fact it seems you are more excited than most XD I’ve bought every single Deluxe/Season Pass Edition of Destiny since launch and this is the first time I cannot be asked to pre-order. Now, I have no doubt I’ll end up buying Final Shape, just to finish the journey, if nothing else. But I feel like I’ve been burned too many times. The new weapon archetypes and supers are nice, but when the entire community wanted and was expecting the third darkness subclass that was promised three years ago… we were more than a little disappointed. If it was a new super and aspect for every single subclass on every single character… sure. I’ll take 15 new supers over 3 new subclasses. But not one for each class. Some people are thinking they are underhyping The Final Shape because overhyping Lightfall was their massive mistake (seriously, I was beyond hyped for Lightfall because it was marketed, and presented in-lore as, the Infinity War of Destiny) but it was actually just shit. But I think that’s pure copium. I went in with high expectations because, really, Bungie should be pulling their weight now.
There will probably still be a 3rd darkness subclass. Bungie has never made subclasses back to back years. People that bought into the click bait from streamers who saw a funny icon during play test videos, are at a fault of their own. Just because you speculate something, doesn’t make it true.
@@kellenmims2400 Yeah it's the community's fault for expecting the bare minimum. God forbid Bungie put a tiny bit more effort into their grand finale 10 year build up.

I’m glad they brought in Megamind’s cousin for this role, can’t believe they had that in their budget after producing the cinematics. But, I am in the camp that believe they should have revisited the pinnacle of character designs they ever thought up: Moth People
Bungie got on camera said look, our dlc is cool because we said so, please pre order....please. 😂 I am waiting to actually see something...or simply see reviews rave about it because honestly the game is utterly boring and I saw nothing in this stream to convince me it'll change 🤷🏻♂️ it is what it is and it sucks because I love destiny's story and bungie just doesn't know how to end it with a bang they would rather just have us win yet again and continue on to win over and over for "years to come" 😴😴😴
Read the books of sorrows and the final shape was the remainings that survive entropy, not "ehrmm what if i were the baldest god and i did things my way"
I will say this: Joe Blackburn (faults and all) is pretty good at being a director when it comes to PR. This man went on his personal social media, took the heat on himself and even offered to stream and talk with people when the final shape drops. That takes balls, especially if the final shape doesn’t land. I guess we’ll see
i’m so glad i found this channel!!!! i’ve been an IHE fan since the very beginning (my first video was literally i hate pewdiepie) and as much as i enjoy the JAR Media stuff sometimes i just want more IHE content!
If you ask the average Destiny player, every season and every expansion is “the best Destiny has ever been”, until a few weeks later when the hype dies down and everyone gets mad at the game because the honeymoon phase is over. You can set your watch to it because it’s so predictable.
I don’t like personally coming at people but damn Bungie has some of the most soy employees that exist these days that don’t care about making a good game, but care about pushing a message. You barely even see any of them playing the game unless it’s on the job or in one of these vidoc type videos. Go look at NRS, they play their game and they care.
As a long-time fan of the game, I agree that it’s a shame we aren’t getting a 3rd Darkness subclass. And while the subjugators are cool, Bungie should’ve just put them alongside Tormentors, and made a couple more enemies to just have a new faction. It’d be so easy, yet they refuse to do it for god knows why. While I find the nostalgia stuff lazy, I’ll say that the pale heart area seems to have more new stuff than old (from what we can see now), and said old stuff is functionally different. A bit worried about how it’ll turn out, but I’m 100% sure that Final Shape will be better than Lightfall. Not a high bar, but still. If it’s better than Witch Queen, I’ll be satisfied.
I'm so glad I've spent the last year putting more time into yoga & pilates instead of live service crap like this. I've got a six-pack & actual pecks now. NO SEASONAL LOCK ON THOSE! ❤ Best of all? I've still had plenty of time to mess around in Palworld & to complete Baldur's Gate 3 (more than once!) When you really wanna sell the idea of putting down the controller more & LOGGING OUT OF LIVE SERVICES?! Well, how would you like to make a community of friends you ACTUALLY GET TO SEE ON A REGULAR BASIS IRL?!?! Do you even know how nice that is to have? It's better than the best LFG finder you could ever imagine. The people who defend Bungie deserve what they get. To anyone considering what they should get into next? Maybe consider putting down the controller and look into joining a gym or a yoga studio. It's infinitely more fun, more rewarding, and more permanent than any soulless live-service slopfest.
The seasons are a fun novelty at the beginning. I even enjoyed the underwater stuff of the last season at first. But repeating the same activities over and over again becomes numbing. They really need a rogue-like activity back or some procedurally generated dungeon or something to keep people replaying.
Bringing Cayde back serves to exemplify just how desperate Bungie really is to get people to like/buy this DLC. Seemingly reused assets from D1 and early D2 are also super lame nostalgia bait, as well as the even more lame fact that no new subclasses are coming, just "new" supers they probs had laying around as concepts forever. No new enemy race, just 2 support Rhulks. Really feels like the "Climactic End of the Light And Darnkess Saga(tm)" with all this effort put in! I joined in during Lightfall to play with my friends and all this stupid nostalgia bait does nothing for me, just feels patronizing for its target-audience. I really wanted to play the Red War, dammit!! Maybe they'll resell all the removed stuff in the coming "years", maybe even these "episodes" will be sold piecemeal when they could be a bigger package as well. They really seem to have just lazed about with this past DLC, and this one is lookin to be the same albeit with a lil more polish. Bungie's fallen so far they ought to just rename themselves to something else, the legacy of Halo can't save their name forever lmao. Baby-mode power-locking seems desperate too, attempting not to scare off new players from a grind just to be able to play content, even though their New Player Experience has been awful for seeming years now and doesn't seem to be getting changed in any significant way. Lazy and Lame are the only things I really feel from D2, and Bungie by extension, these days. Hopefully if this fails (not likely, judging by the Lightfall #s) Bungie will actually have to try again.
this stream was soo dry. hearing them talk and talk about all these plans and ideas is just more admitting to doing the same over again. "we pulled all these people to write this story" cool like congrats for wanting to not make another lightfall you want a cookie. 3rd darkness subclass should've been inside this dlc unless it comes in the first episode of the destiny which isn't happening. so we get another filler year for story like lightfall with strand. This isn't the destiny I wanted or ever saw truly unfortunate.
The advertisements for destiny are so weird cause everything about them is trying to make everything look so great and cool and new while also at the same time kinda always pointing out the flaws that have been in the games since destiny 1
As someone who has been interested in the story/lore/world with others for Destiny's entire run, its geniuenly so frustrating to see Bungie pretend that this conclusion to everything that came before. The last like 3 years have been a mess of constant retcons, incoherent story, world-breaking, character assassination, etc. The new writers absolute jokes. "The Witness" should have never even existed. This concept of the Final Shape as just "its all frozen" isn't what the Final Shape is even supposed to be, its motivation for wanting said Final Shape is absurd and uninteresting. Such an insult.
The Witness is such a shitty villain lmao. It's painful that we will never get "Race 5" aka the darkness enemy race ever at this point. Instead we get one enemy unit and a mess of recycled assets. I don't know how you could still be invested in the story now
They completely forgot the Darkness characterization of the books of sorrows and ghost stories in favor of a goofy fucking marvel villain. The games lore had weight at some point, when the villain wasnt a bald cracker, but satan wearing the corpse of a fallen captain as a cape.
The way Bungie managed to trick their fans into believing that they're producing new content, while doing the bare minimum with non-stop reuse of environment and enemies while asking 40 dollars nach time is honestly quite impressive

That's why the media illiterate fans who keep defending this shit like it so much. Why come to your own conclusions on a story and think when you can just get Marvel-brained about everything and just be hyped for the thing the marketing team tells you.

The villains motivation is the same as the Lego movie
Holy shit you’re right
I definetly think Zavala was better built out than Ikora in Destiny 1, particularly during Taken King at the same time Cayde-6 was.
I like your pfp
What a stupid way to tell a story

The witness would be infinitely more menacing if it were faceless. Why would they give it these Pixar looking eyes and that goofy monobrow when it's supposed to be the most menacing threat ever!?
I've been thinking about this, especially since it would've gone well with the whole eye count with other enemys
My guess is some aspects got emphasized with that, kind of like how when you average out 500 male faces or 500 female faces and the dominant / prevalent traits sort of bleed together.
hard to witness anything when you have no face. if it was faceless it would be "how did it be the witness if it cant see????"
Coz from a design perspective he's large almost the size of an actual ship and his power flexes are enough to solidify him as a threat. He fine

Yeah, its like that for every new destinations

See I dont even hate if there isn't a new race. What i want more of is those Pyramid units. Their design aesthetic being slightly alien Victorian and weird striated fleshiness is amazing. The pyramids spent 15 seasons getting to earth and they were empty 🤡
@@SantiagoGT15😂😂😂😂😂😂 this was funny as hell and straight facts
The pyramids are but empty shells. The units you mention are about the closest fans are gonna get to having a new enemy faction. Personally I don’t know why Bungie doesn’t use the Tormentors again for this the final Light/Darkness expansion and being out of the Destiny loop for so long , I have no idea what a Rhulk is.
@@jamesstanley792 rhulk was one of the witness' disciples
They're one hundred percent going to intentionally under deliver on pretty much every front. Because, sadly, there are probably more people who would finally stop playing Destiny if the story of the Traveler and the Witness was concluded in a satisfying way, than people who would quit if they were once again shafted by Bungie.
Also what is with their weird format of having developers explain the DLC to... other developers? Like shouldn't all these people already know what's going to be in it and everything? Why not just explain it to the camera? Why does it need to be formatted like baby's first novel where the characters spout exposition at other characters who should already know it.
I know it's really stupid they're not talking to the cameras and they're also not having a normal conversation about it
I was just thinking that!
@DrakeBS757
What you're saying is also right and makes sense, but the problem in this video (and what I find funniest) is that in multiple segments (if not all), the devs talking at each other as if they don't know are from the same department. In some cases, the person acting like they don't know is the one person who should know because they're the one whose job it is to have worked on the very thing they're talking about.

Tell me you never played any destiny season without telling me you never played any destiny season
The whole format where they basically interview themselves just comes across as forced and very lame
The sign Bungie is holding up to “feel nostalgic” is really feeling like a dagger to whatever chance of hope I had for this dlc being good.
They know the only hopes they have for it to succeed are that people want to see the conclusion to the story and through preying upon nostalgia
Bad Guys".

The light and darkness saga isn't even accurate to what's going on in the game.
Light and Dark being good and bad hasn’t been a thing in Destiny for the past 4-5 years. The whole point of one of the DLC’s was to prove that Light and Dark have to co-exist, and that anyone can use Light or Dark for good or for evil. They’re just elements in the universe. I hope either the final shape ends with the light and dark fusing then exploding and reforming the universe into something more balanced, losing their egos in the process.

I like how they couldnt be bothered to imagine what the inside of the big ball looked like so they just made it look like every other level
Pretty sure it's also a retcon

Hopefully if this fails (not likely, judging by the Lightfall #s) Bungie will actually have to try again.
can you please play bumpkinville 3 the return of bumpkin
“I need a place I can put things that isn’t IHE, that isn’t JAR”
ManManBoyBoyMan neglected once again
Put out any slope you want IHE we just want more content from you. You are a really good creator
this stream was soo dry. hearing them talk and talk about all these plans and ideas is just more admitting to doing the same over again.
"I like these guys they got charisma 😐"
The advertisements for destiny are so weird cause everything about them is trying to make everything look so great and cool and new while also at the same time kinda always pointing out the flaws that have been in the games since destiny 1
I really want it to be good, but I don't have high hopes.
It isn’t hard to exploit 50 IQ mongoloids and children
yep and the fans have voted for this with our own wallets time and time again. we are telling them its okay every single time
I hate joe’s mustache
He looks like William Murderface from Metalocalypse.
