Nice, also micro center has these same boards, ryzen-3000-ready out of the box now (the boxes will say it with a sticker on top). I paired it with a ryzen 3600x. I like this board it really performs great.
i have this board and 3600x can you put 4x ddr4 3000mhz ram..i ran it ok with 2 lots of 8 but added another 2 strips of 8gb ram same make. but dont boot up
Another thing to verify is if the ram you are using is on the QVL list rated for 4 sticks. Also you may need to go into the bios and turn off xmp and try to boot. If it boots ok then you can usually go back in and turn xmp back on.
I got this for 39.99 at microcenter (picking up in 2 days), do you have any extra thoughts on using it since this video? Any suggestions for ram that will work with xmp settings as well? Im looking for a 2x4gb kit. Thanks.
Thats a great price! As for the ram I used Crucial Ballistix Sport 2666MHz. Always check the QVL for that board. Gigabyte lists what ram they recommend on their website. I also used 2 x 4 dimms. You can see more in the $500 build video I did

X570 for anything Ryzen 3000 is still a bit high on the pricing side and this board is pretty good for most uses. While this board may not have all the bells and whistles of a $200 board it does really well for the price bracket.
Yes it's possible, I'm actually running the RGB on the cooler with a 4 pin. The 5th pin is W for white. As in RGBW this is mostly used for RGB things that have more of a true white color vs the blueish white.
Would you recommend me updating the bios to latest ryzen 3000 ready even if I do not have yet ryzen 3000? I'll be still using ryzen 3 2200g for a while until I get ryzen 5 3600.
If i pair this with the 2600, do I still need to update the board to its most recent bios as good practice? or can I do away with it until i decide to upgrade to a 3000 series chip?

You will need a fan splitter and an RGB splitter. This is a very common thing unfortunately. I actually buy them in packs so i have them on hand. My recent MB311L build I had used both types of splitters. You can find them cheap on Amazon or Newegg.
@@livetheadventure1396 Well from what I can tell it looks like the 3 fan kit has a hub controller that should work. I'm not 100% sure tho as I am not familiar with that brand to be honest. I looked up their Items and it seems like it should work.
@@tha_mexikan1752 It's likely that its not updated then. The B450 boards are gonna be Ryzen 2000 Series ready out of the box. You can contact Gigabyte or AMD and they may be able to send you a chip to upgrade with if you do not have one. If you have a micro center near by they could do it for you as well. Maybe even Bestbuy could do it but they may charge you
You will have to restart the computer. While it's booting and the Aorus (screen with the bird) screen comes up press DELETE. That will take you to the BIOs.
The board itself has 3 headers, however you can use splitters to allow additional fans. That is what I did in the $500 build video. The amount of fans you add just depends on the splitter style you use and what the total voltage draw would be over each header.
@@rohit8979 Well it has multiple RGB and LED headers as well. So you should be set there. I would recommend that you grab a couple normal fan splitters and a couple RGB splitters off Amazon. They are usually about $5 for a pack of them and they can be a life saver. Worst case they do a good job doubling as extensions for better routing. I usually have extension cables on hand as well. Also keep in mind that if your are going to use an AIO you will need fan headers for the pump and fans.

When you said "LED FAN" my brain went straight to RGB fans.SORRY! :( If you are using a true LED fan and not an RGB fan you could use the same header with no problem. So if thats the situation sorry I confused you. I'm so used to everything RGB these days my mind went right to it. I should have been smarter lol. Funny thing is on the $500 build the case I used actually had true LED FANS. I had to use an RGB header for the CPU cooler but thats all.

Those two white SATA connection ports will disable when plugging in an M.2 drive. That's why they are separated from the other 4.

When you have installed the additional ram was the system powered down and PSU shut off? Also will it boot the bios atleast?

I Would not until you need to. If all is well and working good now I would just leave it alone. Kinda the if it aint broke dont fix thought process.

Hey there, so you would have to have add on wifi card or USB dongle. The MOBO does not come with built in wifi

If it wasn't updated by your supplier then Yes you would have update it.
