It's sad that at this age swimmers start to trend down. I would love to see him do this again in LA in 2028, here's hoping! If France had had the relay swimmers like Phelps did, we might have seen him win 8 gold medals, but I don't think his freestyle was quite where Phelp's was, at least in the long course pool.
I was really impressed with his performance during this Olympics. What am incredible athlete. May he win many more in the future!
