I can't describe what I would do to see this live. pinback has had an indescribable impact on my life.. so thankful I was introduced to them way back when.
Glad to know other people love them as much as I do. I love robs rythem structuring. As a musician it's incredibly refreshing to hear something so beautiful and fresh.
I just realized I can hear myself scream, the first one to at the start and I'm almost sure that's my woooo hooo at the end! I was right in front of the stage, as far as u could get, dancing my heart out. This was the day Autumn of the Seraphs was released, we were hearing some songs for the first time! It was hot as fuck that afternoon, we were all dying from the heat on the parking lot.. Think that's why more folks weren't dancing! Thank you Lou's and Pinback!!!
The bassist of this band is fucking sick...and I love the tempo of this particular live performance. Tempo is super important to a song in my opinion...this is definitely closest to the original than all of the other live performances I seen...Did I mention the bass player is fucking sick? Ok...So whut
I can see why these guys don't tour. I love the writing and the positive grooves of Pinback. An acoustic drummer would have made this 1000 percent better. 2021 and this music is still very cool. Seems like it would be period music but it cuts through. The real subtle dynamics of this tune are timeless.

I remember being there. They signed my album. They were very nice. Best band out of San Diego

Shit being up in Northern California makes me miss Lou's. BADASS record store it is.
enough about zach sheer talent... Rob crow is a musical genius not the slightest bit of over reaction.
The drummer is rushing...
😉
.75x speed is kinda close to the original tempo (but somehow too slow instead) and definitely sounds a little glitchy esp since it’s an older video
is there a single video where they dont play the song 2x speed, like fuck seriously
That's how it's meant to be played I guess. Artists and their craft. I don't question their methods.
Sonzeeera
most of the audience are still as trees. I would give them the best audience cuz Pinback is top notch AMAZING
Hey man i figured out true north and crutch if interested!!
Doesn't sound that way if you stop thinking about it being the original.
what bass is he using
It’s an alembic piccolo bass. Stanley Clarke uses them too on occasion
played a bit too fast for me compared to the original. sounds rushed!
nope but rob crow definitely does
