MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this hard to find 1966 Pontiac Grand Prix. This beautiful full size car was purchased new from Schultz Brothers Pontiac, Algona, Iowa on April 18th, 1966!
Refined and restyled for 1966, the ’66 Grand Prix was designed with a clean and sporty image. New frenched headlights now replaced the chrome ‘eyebrows’ from the previous year, and the front end featured blacked-out plastic egg crate grilles and turn signals located in the same cavities. The taillight panel sported chrome trim ribs, which gave the impression of full-width taillights with the inside blacked out in between.
Refinished in a brilliant Orange/Bronze metallic this Grand Prix shows extremely well. The front and rear chrome bumpers are tight and the finish is exquisite. Featured on the hood is a blended air scoop and the rare optional hood mounted period correct tachometer. The front grill is in very good condition as is the rear aluminum taillight panel, showing only minor signs of aging. All trim pieces are present and have a great finish. The headlights and taillights are in very condition with no hazing or cracks.
Inside, this Pontiac features a black vinyl interior and the front Strato bucket seats and rear bench that are in very good condition. The black door panels, carpet and walnut accented dashboard are a continuation of the striking interior of this sedan and look good. The black headliner completes rest of the interior and is in very good condition. The weather-stripping is excellent, with little signs of drying, tearing or shrinkage. All the original equipment gauges are well placed, have correct appearance as originally design. The functioning heater, air conditioning, and leather wrapped original tilt two spoke steering wheel are in very good condition. Overall, the interior of this Grand Prix is very nice.
This ’66 Pontiac is nicely equipped with a 325hp 389ci V8 engine fed by a Carter 4 barrel carburetor. Power is transferred to the rear wheels by a three-speed automatic transmission. Drivers assist features include power steering, power brakes. The 15-inch rally 5 spoke wheels with beauty rings and Cooper Cobra raised white letter radial tires
These mid sixties full size Pontiacs are rarely offered and usually end up being GTO or Tempest. A nice example like this ’66 Grand Prix are nearly impossible to find. From the eye catching Orange Bronze metallic exterior to the hood mounted tachometer, everything works together to make this one of the nicest Pontiacs we’ve ever seen!… GET OUT AND DRIVE!
Current mileage on the odometer shows 66,663 miles, sold as is and is mileage exempt title.
VIN: 266576P241564 Included is the original owner’s manual and factory Protect-o-plate!

Might mention the rare, nicely contoured 'Strato-bench' front seat with the fold-down armrest instead of the standard buckets and console. Need to study up on Pontiacs, the clientele is vast and knowlegable.

looks like a g.t.o.scoop sculpted on to the hood. interesting looking.lots of modifications. so often i see these cars without wheel opening mouldings. they dress out the car but lack of signifies body work to me. i have had a 66 cat since 1977.

They always take them off to paint and sometimes don't put them back on as they hold water and encourage rust to form. Better off without them in the long run.

Might as well put shifter on the floor to match all mods

the G.P. did not have a hood scoop, and rally II wheels were not available until 67.

It would look better with the fender skirts but a very nice car just the same.

Don't understand why it has all of the 421 badging if it has a 389 in it.

The non-stock hood scoop was not very well done, otherwise a great car despite some of the questionable add-ons.

I have a '64 Pontiac Grand Prix 2dr. sport coupe w/421 engine. If the car I.bought had a 389 engine, I wouldn't have bought it. I see alot of early 60's full-size pontiac cars, and most only have a 389. Have Nice Day. BullyBilly

Eek that hood scoop and lack of wheel skirts does not appeal to me.
