Hello Dave. I have been using PPG MP primer filler while I have been in the US and really like it. It fills well, runs out really smooth and forms a chemical bond with the paint ( you have to paint within three days or scuff up and reapply).

hi mike,i have used ppg in the past and had no probs but now i use autocolour (ici i think) for three reasons (1) i live in the west of ireland and if it's not tractor paint then it's special and priced accordingly
      (2) i'm not a painter and only know one way to achieve the results i need so i'm scared to change and (3) i can get a litre of paint for around 30 pounds in the uk as a posed 80 euro's here, so for two litre's of paint i get a free trip to the uk for the w/'end and a visit to an autojumble if i time it right. love the last series of vids by the way

Three perfectly good reasons. Still, you sound all set for when you restore a tractor. Totally irrelevant fact but my first job was as a lab tech at ICI.

I noticed you retained the old HT coil, what is your opinion of the pattern Green, or Blue, coil I have tried a Green coil but had to use a N.O.S. WIPAC oil due to poor quality. Points were new, condenser new, timing ok, magnetism seemed alright at the time.

Hi Folks. A close friend of mine bought a Bantam project to restore , as he recently retired. He unfortunately bought it (in Mullingar ) without any paperwork, or even a number plate. He is now horrified to find that there is no apparent route to getting it registered and on the road. DVLA in the UK will not assist with furnishing the original reg, as he is not resident in the UK... Has anybody out there got a solution to this problem?

It'll be interesting to see how this turns out, is it yours or a customer's?

it's a customer's, belonged to his grandfather sat in a shed for forty years and yet you wouldn't believe how clean the tank is inside (good old two stroke oil) of course being Irish the big end is gone .still should be fun
