fantasztikus egy játék volt.nem vagyok nagy gamer az utóbbi idoben de ez messze leelozte a korát majd 20 évvel ezelott és szerintem azóta se nagyon van hasonól hozzá képset
Tears in my eyes! It was the most significant game in my life. Not Civ 2, not even Privateer.
Imperium Galactica has special spirit of glory. Maybe because the story has two sides: global war and personal drama. Messages from your wife in 4x-strategy are looking like something insane, but that's why the game is touching so deeply.
2nd chapter IG lost the spirit at all, and still no one 4x game has the same connection with a player.
True, the personal messages in between you trying to defend colonies from aliens is something not seen in any other 4x game. Shame, because it worked so well on pulling player into the game's world.
The activity "behind the scenes" is something lacking in most strategy games. The incident where you have to set a security camera trap for a spy, pass a written aptitude test, and maintain correspondence with the commander and mayors was an almost unique touch
Brilliant game and soundtrack. Unforgettable.

Comparing how great this game was to how little it seems to be known, this is easily the most underrated strategy game of all time.
I'd put it in contention for the best strategy game period, it's probably my own personal favorite based solely on hours spent in game.
It blows my mind how many people never played this.
I miss this game, it was realy awesome back at its time

@@ImreBertalan86 Well Im from Czech republic but I always played the English version obviously. But I know that you had your own special Hungarian version with live actors in the cutscenes :) I just bought the game on Steam. Its on sale only for like buck and a half now. Nostalgia awaits :) If I manage to stop playing Empire at war that is :D Can't stop playing that. My most favourite SW game. Cheers

I don't even know why I bought this unknown game back in the day. Something about it was attracting. I loved it. One of my most beloved games ever. And the music played a huge part in that.
The CD got lost at some point, but I found it again. Long live GOG and the likes.
I am playing it again at the moment. One would almost forgot how hard games were back then. Save early, save often!

A fantastic idea for a civilization game! colony and fleet management entwines very well with the missions of the plot
Kreiner Tamás nagyszerű zeneszerző, a Haegemonia - nak is tök jó zenéje van. Nem vagyok egy nagy stratégiai játékos de a haegemonia menü demóját csomót néztem csak a zene miatt. 😁 Az IG intro zenéje meg zseniális.

Mekkora volt szembesülni vele, hogy a San Sterling bolygó kormányzója igazából nem más, mint Wampetits úr a Szomszédokból... XDDDD
Sőt az ezredes is szerepelt a Szomszédokban, részegen balhézott egy késdobálóban a kocsmáros meg kidobta az utcára pont egy kocsi elé, ami átment rajta és meghalt.

Probably the best sci-fi game of all time, along with Ascendancy and Dune 2.
Mindig is sajnáltam, hogy befejezettlennek érződik a játék. Sokkal kidolgozottabb történettel, és mondjuk többféle hadjárattal lett volna teljes az élmény. A bolygók menedzselése és az űrcsata-rendszer is megfelelt volna egy sokkal szorosabb singleplayer módnak erős és jó narratívával.
Persze nagyon jól tudom, hogy még az IG1 is gyakorlatilag garázsprojekt volt, se idejük se pénzük nem lett volna a srácoknak még tökéletesebbé tenni.
Van tökéletesített változat, még 2017-ben is aktívan dolgoztak rajta. Ráadásul tök frankón igyenes. Úgy hívják Open Imperium Galactica (Open-IG). Githubon megtalálod.
Atm I feel I should let this masterpiece inspire me in my game design. It is time.

I have a concept of gameplay and two covergirls ready-ish..
One is a 25m tall bipedal EW tank with decent armament. The other is a mean looking biplane/copter/rocket hybrid with a big payload bay for its size.

No, this was not the first 4x game. You forgot Armada 2525, Space Empires 1-6 Stellar empires, Sid Meir's civilization, Avalon Hill galaxy, And Second conflict for windows 3.1 and Reach for the Stars of course!
Played this and finished a few times. C&C is my fave but this close second. Link plz here where i can find this game.

You forgot real life is the first 4XRTS that we know of. From a certain point of view. 🖖😁

It has never been in stereo, right? Even during gameplay? Anyone ever noticed?
There were dozens of sci fi 4X games that came before this one, some in the early 80s.
Both Master of Orion 1 and 2 came earlier, those should have been pretty hard to miss for anyone qualified to make any general statement about 4X games at all.
wishcraft4u2 There were dozens, as you say, and some of them were pretty good, like MofO2. Even from the same studio, Reunion came sooner. But Imperium Galactica was the first real time strategy of them, and even had those nice space and surface fights...even had real actors in the ingame videos, like the Wing Commander series. Really like and loved this old game!
A Stellaris inkább a Crusader Kings/Europa Universalis/Victoria/Hearts of Iron stílusát követi, csak épp űrben.
Majd akkor töltööööizéveszem meg, ha majd kijött hozzá mind a kétszázötvenkilenc DLC. :D
Nincs annyi, de szerintem nincs igazad. :) A stellaris nagyon jól elfogta a játék technikáját. A hangulatot nem annyira, de azt egy kis zene kikapcsolásával, majd youtube bekapcsolásával pótolhatod :D
IG 1 masterpiece, IG 2 Alliances kinda lame, IG 3 or Nexus The Jupiter Accident - failure
I wish to disaggree. IG1 was brilliant. IG2 was very complex and hard to master. Nexus is a different game, can't compare them.
