Chinese Scam Camera Disassembly Live

  • This is the scam camera from Temu. The video quality was absolutely terrible with the sound not synchronised at all to the video. It has yielded a couple of interesting components but isn't worth what I paid for the camera. I did try the return process on Temu and it did not work hence I'm taking it apart for videos.

Dno't try and lift the battery with a metal screwdriver, you will pierce it and it will set fire

BONUS! I did try to send that battery into thermal overload in another video.

I winced when I was watching you attack the battery with a metal screwdriver, LOL. You harvested components worth less than £1 and I doubt that the screen will work after all that flexing when you removed it. Patience is a virtue, a plastic spudger, some 99% isopropyl alcohol and gentle hands are the electronics disassemblers best buddies.... And maybe some tweezers (after 30 years in the trade I'm still not sold on them tbh). I enjoyed your video, thanks.

Lol. Should see my other video when I shot the battery with a .177 pellet gun then after that failed to achieve anything, with a .22LR pistol. I could only bear 3 shots with .22LR as I wasn't wearing ear protection.

I mean I buy a lot of RF components from all kinds of weird Chinese sites for a tenth of the Amazon price, and they’re mostly perfect, I’m genuinely surprised every time!
Maybe it just depends what you’re buying, as you get towards for consumer type products the quality might drop

@@mor4y Most of the items on amazon come from temu, aliexpress, etc, at the end of the day we the consumer play russian rulet with our purchases. I do a lot of homework before I buy any electronics from anywhere.

I want to see someone take apart the Hurry Bolt solar charging LED lamp. The copper and black one with yellow LEDs on one end, white on the other end, and two separate sets of white LEDs on one side with a small solar panel on the opposite side. Two switches on the handle toggle between one end and one side light so one end and one side, or both ends or both side lights can be on.
It's very light weight, probably has a minuscule Li-Ion battery inside. I took all the screws out but couldn't get it apart. It appears that the ends are snapped on. I'd like to get mine apart non-destructively to give it a battery capacity upgrade to make it into a seriously usable lamp. It's plenty bright enough but I'd bet the duration to be poor.
I got some magnetic mount motion sensor LED lamps for under my kitchen counters. They're great for putting enough light onto the counters. What wasn't so great was them running out of power every couple of days. So I opened them up to find super tiny Li-Ion cells with no markings. Comparing measurements to what I could find online they're 200 and 250 mAh, with no built in protection. So I bought a batch of 1000 mAh cells to swap in. Now they go about a month between charges. :)

I only disassemble the stuff that I buy that turns out to be rubbish or unusable or that stops working. That's not too much to be honest.
Big Clive might have worked on this lamp. He specialises in things from China that are actually dangerous though, I just take the rubbish apart to see if there are any usable goodies.

I think the bluetooth/wifi part is the unpopulated components above the antenna. Seems that the board is used for multiple different versions. There's other unpopulated ic's too.

Same with the second order from a different supplier.
