This is incorrect, as they were founded in Jerusalem and didn't move to Malta or have any reference to Malta for hundreds of years afterwards.

You seem to have left out the fact that Germanic (Germany did not exist then) knights killed thousands of Jews as the marched toward the holy land. And that chivalry was NOT the romanticized version you put forth here. That came about much later.
