  • Early recording of National Velvet recorded at 50 Carroll Street Toronto Canada where the band rehearsed prior to signing to Capitol. British guitarist Mark Thwaite returned to his native UK in 1986 and later joined Spear of Destiny and The Mission.
    Maria Del Mar: vocals
    Mark Storm: bass
    Mark Thwaite: Guitars
    Ken Sinclair: drums
    recorded and mixed by Angus Robbie in fall 1985.

    They had the best warehouse afterparties in town. My friend and I visited Maria a few years ago, and she sent me a sound file of a song she’d just finished, but hadn’t yet released. I felt humbled.

    My favorite band ever!.. I would have been 23 when they did thid gigi, but I lived in Kitchener at the time.

      She has many albums no one has ever heard. From Band Fatal K.O 1978-1982. It's on SoundPlay I am told, by Ron, the Guitarist.
