I really like you. The way you're so humble, and always keep moving despite the adversity. I couldn't even imagine how you felt when your violin's neck broke. I would've died if it happened to me. Also, you're right. You can always make any violin sound good, within the constraints of the instrument of course. I think yours sounds good, and would've never imagined it was only $3k. Why would you get hate for it? I've heard $20k instruments that don't sound as good as yours. Sometimes the line between price tag and quality can be blurry. You just need to know what to look for on an instrument and their makers. Just keep doing the amazing job and content you do. Much respect. Also, the strings on the Rosenblum are Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Gold.

It's kind of hard to tell the difference since the reverb of the audio of this RUclips video makes it difficult to tell the difference but I think I like the tone of your violin over the more expensive one. Perhaps a different microphone would be a helpful choice.

Not much difference. I expect the $20,000 violin to be really sonorous and "full open" sound, but it has a "partially closed" sound. Maybe like you said it's still a newly made violin.

The more expensive one seems to have more resonance, definitely brighter.

Canonne has a fuller sound in my opinion

Megan, I like them both. But I don’t think that the Cannone is $17,000 better than yours.

What Peter Infeld strings are you using there are blue, red, platin…
I think your violin sounds softer.

Having just listened to 3 $8000 VS on Whitehorse channel maybe canone a bit too proud of that one. Megan's won this one imo.

Things that jumped out to me: YOU like the feel and setup Mio Cannone and It's brightness. The higher register seems to be the big question mark. Some sounds you like, some you don't. Your violin doesn't come across as loud but I wonder if that could be the strings. Overall the statement you made about the Mio being new and needing time to be played seems to be important. it's New! New instrument new strings. Over time it might not be as bright or maybe even brighter, hard to tell right now. As far as which one to go for it seems like the moments when you had the big smile and stated "oh I like that!" tells a great story. Love the videos!
