I remember way back in the 60's, as a young kid watching the star on the mountain every Christmas Holiday. Now it's on nightly. Love to see it when I go up to El Paso. Thanks for posting Jose.
I'm a New Yorker who moved to El Paso a few years ago. I think El Paso is much more beautiful than New York and I love the Franklin Mountains. The views are super spectacular. I love El Paso and would never, ever, move back to New York. I'm here to stay. El Paso strong 💪.
This Scenic drive video by Jose Luis Rubio is another awesome spectacular! The lights of El Paso/Juarez at night is amazing that there are 2.5 million inhabitants living here in the border metro.
No i actually live in South Dakota and i saw this video being recommended for me and I see that it is more pretty and more beautiful at night. Texas is actually one of my favorite states!🇺🇸
The star on the mountain was once The Christmas Star, only to be lit up during the Christmas Holidays. That change and now the star is lit up every night. It’s lost it meaning. It sad but still a beautiful sight to see at night. This is fact as my dad was one of the few allowed up there to change the bulbs. He worked for the electric company.
Krystal S , the public is not allowed up there but people still go up there anyways to venture... the problem lies where some people that go up there vandalize the place ... big no no..
@@joseluisrubio3447 True. My son loves the star and wants to go hiking up there. We would just have to venture out like you said see how close we can actually get. Thanks for the reply!
Krystal S Right on! Make sure to take plenty of water, it is a workout, but well worth it.. the view is breathtaking if you go all the way to the 1st antenna!

Haven’t seen that star for over 23 years. I miss it. Loved our ride up near it when I was a child and teen. Thanks for posting it. Miss you guys.

Krystal S where you park on north side. There's a path between the bushes in eastside.
You missed Stella's Place.
I crossed illegally 30 years ago through El Paso. United States have given me amazing opportunities.
