I had never played Fortnite and was pretty much a hater, but after they released zero build I decided to give it a try. I'm surprised how much fun I was having with it and now I've got over 500h of playtime on it. Recommend everyone to at least give it a try 😊
Not gonna lie that I was also a hater due to the "popularity" of the game and how cringe kids made it out to be with the dances. But then I got roped in cause it was free to play and I didn't have cash to burn, I got the game and tried it out and, yeah, it's pretty fun. Even more so with friends. Not to mention it's always changing and adding new things and characters and the Battle Pass is cheap that you feel the rewards are actually rewards unlike past games I've played where you gamble to get shit you watch (*cough* Overwatch).

You see I dipped into both the ADHD and Autism trees to get the accessibility synergy bonus but not so far as to avoid the brunt of the mental debuffs. I then dumped the rest in intelligence and some unknowingly into charisma. I forgot to put anything into strength but due to a healthy lifestyle and moderate exercise I have slightly below average athleticism. Combine that with skill bonuses to common sense from the boy scout tree and I'd say I got a pretty good build going
My thing with Fortnite is similar to what Nic said in the video- I personally love crossovers, crossover events and the like, and the sheer amount of content from all these different universes and fandoms is generally exactly my cup of tea, except for the fact that I'd as mentioned, would more or less have to pay for everything or grind nonstop through a battle pass I've played it a few times in my life and I can see the appeal to it, but it's just not for me, I'm not bugged by the building mechanics that much, just I prefer more darker themed, grim kinda games, it's graphics are good, just it's art style or rather the bright vibes it has doesn't really appeal to me, in short- you like it, you like it, you don't-you don't- Anyway as one who loves watching both Shylily and Russian badger, I'd love to see those two go at one another, especially if they did some form of Collab, see if Lily can survive badger's batch lmao

The reason why the building exists is kinda part of why I don’t like it, it wasn’t meant to be a BR. Fortnite was originally a horde shooter and part of it was building a base to survive zombies, but that part was turned into a separate mode of the game that’s still under development and probably abandoned so they can focus on the Battle Royale part of the game. (P.S. I still won’t play it even with the No build mode)
It's still such a huge shame that they abandoned Save the World pretty quickly after BR took off. The potential was there but now it's just sad to look at

Even if I haven’t played a lot of Fortnite since the Zero Build mode, I will say it’s tons of fun to play.
