TheGreatVictorNewman , I would have to agree with you, because when it got boring on "Days Of Our Lives" whenever Tony's on there, I would change the channel and watch Massimo (Joe) on "The Bold and The Beautiful", Now I'm glad he's back on Days Of Our Lives as Stefano DIMERA.
It's funny because a long time ago Thorne shot Ridge and he had to get blood from Eric and Ridge and Eric's DNA was too closely matched when Brooke didn't know who Bridget's father was and had to use Stephanie as the deciding factor. Enter Massimo, and all of sudden, Ridge doesn't match Eric anymore. Different writers have different outcomes. Just make sure that your audience doesn't remember the past or the stories won't make sense, and people won't buy it.
