Thanks for the pleasant , genuine and uplifting videos! Wishing you both every success in NZ and full speed ahead . It is a huge decision to make, and a brave one, to emigrate. Well done!!!
Good morning from Angkor Wat temple. Cornwall Park is beautiful place that I always want to visit. Thanks you so much for showing me around the park. I'm very appreciated with your video Great video creator channel Thanks you so much for your sharing
Great to see you enjoying Auckland. I’ve lived in Ellerslie for 20 years, top spot. Walking through the streets of One Tree Hill and Ellerslie, you could have got to the park in a tick over 30 minutes. No waiting for buses. Interesting to see a recently arrived immigrant’s observations on things that are a part of my every day life. 😊
Seems like a great spot to live! I definitely could’ve walked to the park, but I’m just so excited about buses 😅 that’s something we didn’t have in South Africa 😅
GO CHANTAL! Chantal for NZ PM! Was an awesome day trip out. Not boring at all. Love watching your adventures. I used to live in Ellerslie in 2004 and as a kid in the 80s, my parents used to take me to Cornwall Park. Very peaceful place to visit and decent views from the summit. Just a little further up the road from where you were staying, Newmarket. Great place to go for a coffee, bite to eat and clothes shopping. What kind of work is Craig doing? He seems to get down to Auckland a bit. Good idea coming along for the trip and exploring Auckland, while you wait for him to finish up for the day.
It looks like a beautiful place to live 🤗 We’ll have to go back to visit Newmarket, sounds like I’ll enjoy it there! Craig is a civil engineer, he had a 2 day engineers seminar in Auckland 😊
The app seems like it would be super helpful. That was a beautiful park and those trees were something else! One Tree Hill - I'm just watching that show for the first time now and didn't know there was a real One Tree Hill town. The ice cream and juice in the shade seemed like the perfect way to cool down. Seems like you had a great day solo adventuring!
Excellent solo vlog. It was really relaxing to watch. Yes, definitely do some solo vlogs in your community, please! You have acquired skils and confidence! Thank you.
WELL DONE CHANTZ ON YOUR FIRST SOLO VIDEO.YES I ENJOY GRAIG,FOR HIS WELL MANNERED AND DOWN TO EARTH SENCE OF HUMOUR.ESPECIALLY WHEN HE HAS A PINT OF BEER,MY SORT OF MAN.WELL DONE.LOVE WATCHING YOUR GUYS VIDEO'S. WHAT A AWESOME COUPLE..I CAN TELL YOU REALLY LOVE AND APPRECIATE YOUR HUSBAND..🙂👍.
Chantz I loved seeing your day exploring solo. The hike looked gorgeous 😍 I was surprised to see so many fences on the trail back though. I would definitely be interested in more vlogs going out and about during the week!
Hey I don’t mean to be accusing or anything but here’s a tip when catching busses in NZ - generally people hop on the door at the front of the bus and exit the door at the rear. It just helps it flow better. Some busses only have one door and so don’t worry about those but usually this is the case. :)
Hi Chantal, I've really enjoyed to join you whilst exploring the beautifull green area and cruising around in the city busses. Thanks for taking us with you! How much I love to visit NZ again. It's every time again such a great joy to watch your videos. Foamy cappuccino 😊☕ btw! You did so well even without Craig. 👌 Love from us ❤🇳🇱
What a fun day! Beautiful find! Congratulations on solo traveling agree it can feel weird vlogging alone…I’ve gotten some strange looks! 😂! Great job! ~Cara 😊
Great Vlog Chantal, if Craig coming to Auckland for conferences that area again, take a bus to St Heliers, Mission Bay which are relatively close, they are also great places to enjoy when you don't have a lot of spare time. 🙂
Well done Chantal! You made a great choice. Cornwall park is a historic park, famous in Auckland. One tree hill had a narly old Pine tree hence it's name, but a Maori activist chopped it down decades ago. I think the idea was to have a native tree such as a Pohutukawa instead, which would be a great choice...but I'm not up with the latest on that saga. Those beautiful old stone walls are made from volcanic scoria, Auckland was built on 50 odd volcanoes...the youngest and highest is Rangitoto Island erupted 600 years ago. You can see it from the summit of One Tree Hill. Have to climb it, it is a really gentle slope, so well worth it. It is a unique mix of old lava fields (HOT in the sun) and Pohutukawa trees - highly recommended! You and Craig would love it but choose a sunny day when u next get back to Auckland, ferries depart from the CBD all the time, and could also check out the Waiheke Island Vineyards too! The Hauraki Gulf is the Jewel in Auckland's crown, but make sure the sun is shining, it makes all the difference. Apologies if u have already done this, I may well have missed one of your videos...
Yes show us Whagerai you must take a look at the two historical houses at Corneall Park very interesting I visited early 2020 got back to Cape Town just before lockdown. Can't wait to dee my daughter and her husband again loved walking with you. Brave lady and not having to look over your shoulder is just how I felt when there.
Hi there, here's a couple cool places to visit in the far north, Rawene township and take the car ferry across the Hokianga harbour. Te ti Marae in the Bay of Islands. In Auckland, Otara markets early Saturday morning. Howick village. Avondale markets on Sunday. Plenty to do guys.
Wow, good on you with your solo excursion around One Tree Hill. Where you went off to go up the hill, if you came down same way then kept heading in the same direction it would have taken you around to twin trees drive meeting of the trees and archery park, child's playground and an observatory. If you stay in same motel next time you can take a train into city or train to Onehunga then walk up thru Onehunga to One Tree Hill.
Oh cool, I actually saw the observatory on Google maps, but it said it was closed at the moment 😢 We would definitely want to go check it out! And the trains weren’t running either 😭
