Congrats on your success. I barely got 3-4k steps till I implemented most of actions that you have about a month ago. 10-15 min walks after meals help post blood sugars. Walking pad while watching tv show and on WFH days are golden. You forget you’re doing it. Another thing I do is pace or lightly march when I’m on social media. It all adds up. I’m now getting between 10 to 13k steps on average
i got myself a treadmill to walk on (i didnt feel comfortable walking for exercise outside cause i was a rape victim and i felt very anxiety ridden with walking up and down the street) so im starting small with walking on the treadmill for 10 to 15 minutes 3 times a day , about 4 times a week. im trying to cut down on snacking, i barely eat alot of sweets, ill only allow myself like one cake once a month. i dont eat out. so im just taking baby steps right now.
I am doing 12k to 15k daily. I walk on treadmill for an hour before work, 30 mins after lunch. Walk after dinner with the family 35 mins. Taking stairs at work to the 12th floor.
Dang girl. You are in your POWER mode. Keep it up ma! Healthy and beautiful is always better than just beautiful 😊 your strength and motivation is inspiring!
Been walking every morning now, 3 miles around the perimeter of my neighborhood, 26 days now. Wanting to reduce body fat and it's working great both physically and mentally. I will weigh at the 30 day mark.
Most cities in the US weren't built to be walkable so it's really not all on us. Most areas in my neighborhood don't even have sidewalks. I do agree with the walking pad.
I walk around my kitchen table. Put 12K-20k steps watching a show. It’s doable 👍🏼 Don’t limit yourself. Agree with the US not making walkable areas or parks but health is wealth in any form ❤
While I somewhat agree you are the master of your world…..not the government. The government don’t care about you, they care about your taxes. You have a responsibility to try to walk as often as you can, even if it’s around the block multiple times.
@@ANaijamansPerspective I don’t understand why you are making my comment about me specifically. I simply said most US cities aren’t walkable. I never said that I personally have an issue with getting my steps in. I live in a large community and I am surrounded by parks. Please don’t make more of my comment than what I actually said.
Congratulations and thank you for this great video! Everything relating to exercise and diet has been stressing me out. Between the suggestions of strength training, HIIT workouts, caloric deficits, 150 grams of protein 😮, no carbs, low carbs, fats, high fat, electrolytes, intermittent fasting, keto and intermittent fasting, OMAD, skip eating for days, breakfast, starvation, menopause, cortisol, cycle gone, cycle back, estrogen, low estrogen, etc. a Sister is stressed out. The suggestions are overwhelming and leave me stuck in a rut. Women have a lot to bare. Our transitions can cause a great deal of heaviness so we need to stay encouraged and support each other. Instead of the stressors i mentioned above, I am just going to walk! Thank You Sis! Keep Shining!💕💕
I just restarted my fitness journey and I am currently walking a little over 10,000 steps a day which for me equates to a little over 4 miles a day. It’s been a week and I already see a difference. I’ve also incorporated intermittent fasting into my life. Walking is truly powerful and as you stated…it’s free!! I also agree that having some sort of fitness tracker is necessary. I have a Fitbit (prefer it over my Apple Watch) and I love that it breaks down my calories in versus out, stress level, sleep patterns and so much more. It gives me a little more motivation to keep pushing. TFS❤
I am also in the medical at the medical field I do do 10,000 working with urology but I start my new position at home. So the first thing I did was buy the desk and a walking pad. I also walk after work with my husband because that’s our time since he works 3rd shift. I used to run before Covid and my last run was a marathon but I mentally feel better walking. My husband and I have deep conversations in our walk by the time you know we have walked 4-5 miles just enjoying our time
This is awesome! I walk everyday in the park. I also get my steps in during the day by taking the stairs and cleaning etc around the house. I love the walk at home workouts on youtube. I also teach dance at my dance studio and just turn on music and dance at home! I am down 27 lbs.
Just found your channel, go algorithm!!!! Also a fellow nurse who WFH. I needed to see this video bc walking has helped me lose weight before in the past but due to the change in my neighborhood, I haven’t been doing it. I need to order this walking pad stat!!
I’ve been walking to lose but work from home so I have to get up very often to get steps in. I walk in place on a stepper and take my dog out like several times and wake up early to do 30 minutes before work. At first it was hard but then I told myself you’re at home so you really can get up from your desk more than you could in the office. I will say I haven’t been able to do get 10k consistently and I find it very hard unless I go somewhere on the weekend all day plus run errands. On routine I’m getting 6k+ and I’m losing some weight. I’m working my way up so my goal will be 10-12k by end of the year I need to get there.
I’ll probably use your method of getting half of my steps in the the AM and the other by 5 PM. Also, I do want to use Meetup for finding a Running Group for Beginners this Summer 💅🏽
I just started walking again two weeks ago. I walk during my 30-minute lunch. I eat a healthy breakfast in the morning. I usually eat when i get home. I drink plenty of water
I got my 10,000 of steps and more when working at home during covid by doing Leslie Sansone 3 mile, 4 mile, 5 mile walking video from Walk at Home website, RUclips. Doing walking exercises from RUclips from Paul Eugene, Moore2health, Bodyfordays by Jerrika, Brian Syuki. I have my own treadmill, cubii. I would exercise 1 hour before work, 30 minutes during my lunch, 30 minutes after work. In addition I have a stepper to do step aerobic by Paul Eugene on RUclips and other RUclipsr that have step aerobic exercise. I have medicine ball, Kettlebells, weights per RUclips videos.
@@kokoa881 Yes, it was hard work. When I have first started exercising during the lock down, I could barely do 10 minutes. I stayed consistent and the stamina had build up. I had to push myself to do the 5 miles but I did it.
I don’t count my steps but I started walking now the past 3 weeks and it feels great. I will continue walking and I am contemplating strength training as well.
Congrats on your success!! I have a question: i do not have a treadmill and I' m really unconfortable in going outside. I have a mini stepper, can it works too?

I realized 10k steps was 5miles. I walk on breaks two but if I didn’t have time during the day I do 2.5miles one way and then by time you walk back your at 10k!
Did you lose muscle by just walking? I think that’s my biggest fear to lose my shape by walking and not weight training. If not I would love just walking to lose weight 😊
Ten thousands steps is no joke I need 90 minutes for it ,so I do 60 in the morning while the kids are at daycare and school. And 30 minutes after dinner when my husband is with the kids. We have to come up with more tricks 😂.
