Miami Warriors 12-1 final record. Title bid falls short in OT vs #1 ranked Happy - Nov 24, 2023

The Miami Warriors (12-1) suffered their first defeat 30-22 to the state’s top ranked Six-Man Div 1 team in the Happy Cowboys (12-1) in a Texas State Quarterfinal matchup on November 24, 2023 in Panhandle, Texas.
A pair of controversial calls clouded a well played defensive game. Happy jumped out 14-0 before Miami mounted a comeback to tie the score. A missed safety call cost Miami 2 points and momentum in the first half while a 4th Qtr 2 point conversion was ruled a “no good” that would given the Warriors the lead before Happy’s final possession. Instead the Cowboys made a goaline stand on 3rd & 4th down to send the game to OT. The game lasted one possession each in overtime as Happy scored on their first play.
