Not really, because Desoto doesn't have the possibility of facing DVille in the playoffs because they are in a different division. SJB and MD are in the same league and playoff division, and are always seeded 1 and 2.

I had the chance to see this game with a buddy who was there scouting one of over 30 D1 recruits in this game. It was weather delayed Friday to Saturday unfortunately. This was one of the most physical games I’ve seen in years at the HS level. The people in Desoto/Duncanville are some of the most passionate and downright awesome fans of football you will ever meet. I highly recommend getting out to see this game live if you can.

Desoto hasn’t beaten Duncanville since 2016. Desoto came out fired up and jumped on Duncanville early. Sucks Moore couldn’t play the first half for Duncanville. Desoto also capitalized on Duncanville turnovers. Eagles definitely earned the win. Pretty good game.

I would like it to happen. You gotta think about health at the end of the day because a lot of football players don’t have long careers so that many more games is a risk.

I moved from the northeast to the Houston metro 2.5 years ago, so I am still learning about TX football. I understand that both these teams are awesome and nationally ranked. Huge rivalry with playoff implications. But man...what was with that crowd? Why was the place like half empty for a game that got national attention? Not impressed with the atmosphere at all
This game was originally scheduled for a Friday night but delayed due to lightning in the DFW area. It was moved to Saturday at 2 PM which is a bit of an odd spot. I would guess that many people who were planning on attending Friday night were unable to make it Saturday.

They’re still high school players at the end of the day and 95% of them have been playing with each other or against since the youth days. In Cali our youth team players like OG ducks and OC buckeyes etc go to private schools like mater dei and bosco. I think that’s what a lot of out of state people don’t understand, they think all of the players at our private schools are from out of state or not familiar with each other.
