When confronted and asked to explain, she attacked people and claimed it was a hole in the floor. Because “their house is old” from my understanding she keeps her materials in the same room as her pet rabbit. Which is not smart for several reasons.

I can understand the anger. She's putting people at risk and for no reason either. Her suits would be perfectly fine if she got rid of the metal and added a foam backing instead of using polyfil and styrofoam. All she has to do is listen to what people are saying and she would be golden. But she just won't listen to anyone's warnings and other fursuit makers who have told them that their materials are dangerous. Her metal pieces are the worst part of her suits but the Styrofoam and Polyfil are also dangerous because they are insulators, meaning they make you hotter and harder to breathe. I don't see why she's being so terrible, it's not too hard to fix any of those issues.
I think she will upgrade the metall pieces with a hole Iron thing holding the maw. Or she could just make a normal furry robot if she likes to put sharp metall pieces in a fricking FURSUIT. People can get a cut!

Snow Bell I highly recommend starting to insist on absolute deadlines that YOU determine as reasonable, that is IF you decide to still try to go with her for the paws. Set it to whatever is LESS than the time needed to contest the charge via paypal/your bank/whatever for goods not received, should it come to that. DO NOT let her pass said date, excuses or no (and there’s a lot of evidence there that she makes up lies about why she’s late, and doesn’t keep them straight, otherwise has had the same relative die 3 times and been in 2 places at once on more than one occasion, so... grain of salt there.) Honestly, were I you, I’d inform them that i am no longer interested due to lack of confidence caused by their lack of communication and professionalism. Be prepared to start the process now, however, as it might be your only viable option. I’m sorry you got caught up in this mess. >.
Regarding the metal pieces - it’s worse than you think. The maker apparently took the tops from mason jars with a bunch of slots cut in them, snipped them in half, DID NOT sand or smooth the edges whatsoever, bent that into a V-shape and shoved those into the corners. The official reasoning was for increased airflow/cooling, and the specific reason why they were left sharp and not sanded down? So they would self-anchor by biting into the suit base, therefore not requiring glue. Yeah. Someone didn’t think this through very well. Oh, and a bit of extra info- the rabbit poop was discovered BECAUSE the stitching fell apart right away and it was being repaired by another suit maker. This discovery was made while removing the polyfill stuffing they used! Yeah, the ultra-warm-blanket super-insulated stuff. Want to require that you make trips to the headless room every 15 minutes (or 5 if you’re outdoors) to prevent heat stroke? Wear polyfill! So yeah, bad stitching, inconsistent materials, unsafe materials, sharp jagged bare non-stainless exposed steel around your face... and you’ll be treated INCREDIBLY horribly if you ever speak up to them about what they’ve done. (That is if you ever get what you paid for, from what I’ve read. Wasn’t just the Giraffe one, and even THAT case had so much more to it.... I highly recommend checking into this more if you’re interested in commissioning a fursuit, as the Liquid Sunshine catastrophe here has made an awesome checklist of things to watch out for when you’re having it done. You’ll come out of that knowing JUST what to ask, and sounding like a greyfur who’s been here since before we as a community/group entered the internet.

As someone who owns an unneutered rabbit who breaks potty train constantly, I can confirm that rabbit poop can and will get everywhere. Their feces are small solid pellets and when applied pressure they crush into dust. The dust then gets into the air, and you are breathing rabbit feces. It's extremely unsanitary. So yes, keeping an untrained rabbit in the same room you keep your supplies is not only unwise because of the sanitation, but also for the health of the said rabbit. They can and will eat fur, which will kill them. EDIT: (mentioned him being unneutered because, in the rabbit community, a well-known fact is that only neutered/spayed rabbits will be able to stay potty-trained for a long period of time. The more you know)

It’s actually most likely that LSD is deliberately slacking off on the quality of the suits as the first 2-3 suits that she ever made were extremely high quality and are also used as examples of her work in her commission info! Pretty much the first of those suits was her first ever fursuit that is her own and is of her fursona while the other couple were trial commissions done for a couple of close friends of here’s before she opened her commissions to the general public so it’s seemingly quite obvious that she’s choosing not to put much effort into her commissioned suits including commissions that she did more recently for close friends that she’d known for years or even decades and now quite a few of those long time friends have called her out on her poor business practices due to them receiving extremely low quality suits or being straight up scammed!
Outsider to the furry community here, but I have several friends who are in the community so I have a passing interest in this topic, since I do admire the way a well-done fursuit can look! Now, I don't know shit about fursuits, but I do know a fair bit about cosplay, and I know for a fact there's do's and don'ts with that. So from the perspective of a casual cosplayer and someone who makes their own costumes in general (or modifies them from bought items), here's my take (fair warning, long): 1) If it's falling apart first you get it, this person probably was not double-stitching or stitching securely. If they hand-sewed (unlikely with a full suit costume like a fursuit), they didn't do a double backstitch on the seams; if they used a sewing machine, they didn't use a secure enough stitch to hold the fabric together. If it's not ripping along the seams however, then the wearer was either doing something that stressed the fabric too much, or the creator used a really, really shoddy faux fur/feathers - there really should be no reason a good quality fabric that is thick enough for fake fur/feathers to just randomly rip. I'm sure any of the commentator furries here who have actually made their own fursuit or other costume before can back me up on this - the fabric is THICK and just doesn't rip easily. You really have to tug on it to make it do that. 2) Rabbit/rodent droppings and fake fur are a NO-NO because they get smashed in and stuck in the fur, making it hard to clean. You think the all the gross furries with cum in their fursuits because they don't wash them is bad? Shit's worse. My little sister also cosplays - anime characters mostly but some games too - and she owns rats. I am constantly having to remind her to be very, very careful with her fabric and her rats so they don't foul the fabric, because some costume fabrics can be delicate or very hard to clean. With these fabrics especially a stain like that will ruin them. That's to say NOTHING of the possibility of triggering allergies in a person or making them sick. If I spent money knowing someone were making me a thing, and there were rodent droppings in it? I'd be livid. There's absolutely no reason for this, it's dangerous and if it were a factory that made these costumes, they'd be shut the fuck down faster than you can say "yiff in hell". How can someone think this is okay? At least put the fabric in some sort of sealed bin when you aren't working on it so the rabbit can't shit on it... 3) Mouth movement: Oh hell no, you never do this with metal on any mask. The proper way to do it is to fit it to your natural jawline, if you want a moveable mask you need to have it fit closer to your face. This is what I did when I modified a goat skull mask with a hinged jaw so it would look like I opened and closed the mouth - I used foam and fabric, and plastic to prop it up so it moved when my chin moved. There should be no reason to ever, ever have metal near your face that isn't stuck in some sort of hole (earrings, jewelry, piercings, etc.) when much safer alternatives such as heat-warpable plastic exist. This is just common fucking sense - you don't put sharp metal bits anywhere on any costume. If you want cool electronic bits like glowing eyes or whatever, you should do it safely - make sure the circuits are sound, purchase pre-made lights if at all possible, etc. There's ways to make a moving mask with electronic bits that are safe, but this ain't it chief. I wouldn't try it in a million years, and I've been cosplaying for about 5-6 years now. 4) The scamming thing. Horrible. There *are* people that commission cosplay costumes for you just like with fursuit creators, but I've never heard of that sort of thing happening in that community. What is going on here, do people in the Furry community just think it's okay to bilk people out of money? Though... to be fair, how could anyone know who is new to the furry fandom, and who isn't? I'd think you might want to make some sort of BBB type thing for furry artists and fursuit makers, that seems like it would be useful - sort of a buyer's guide. I'm unsure if that exists for this community, but it seems like a great idea. That way, different costume makers could be rated on their merits and people looking to buy a fursuit - in or out of the community - would be able to be confident in their purchases. When there's no oversight, then stuff like this happens, you're trusting someone who might not have your best interests in mind and that is dangerous. I am genuinely so, so sorry you guys have to deal with this type of bullshit in your community, it's not okay. 5) This should seem obvious, but the best option for knowing your costume is safe is just... to make and modify it yourself. Learn how to use a sewing machine or a solid backing hand-stitch, there's plenty of tutorials online. I've even made my own tails and ears from tutorials online! Learn how to use foam, sculpting tools, and heating implements. Learn how to choose fabrics and color match, and disguise stitch lines in fur fabrics. Learn how to use hot glue, and when you need to consider other kinds of glue (as some can melt foam or plastic-based fabrics. You can even use other things as bases for the costume, if you're looking for a certain look. This type of expertise comes with practice and trying things out, it's not something you just know, so learn a little DIY and just make your own. That's how I do all my cosplays, and while a lot of them may take more time, the outcome will be something you KNOW is made just for you and to your own specifications. And I promise, if you're new to it, nobody is going to notice a shoddy stitch job you've done if it's camouflaged by fake fur.
I have a friend that ordered a fursuit and the suit was absolutely adorable. Although she spent 49 hours in the hospital due to the fact that the maker had multiple dogs present whilst working on the suit. My friend was very allergic to dogs.
The person who found the metal actually did get cut. They accidently cut their arm while reaching into for something they dropped or something. And it did bleed!
hey i would recommend using a different suit made by lsd in ur thumbnail, the owner and designer of that character in suit is considering selling them despite adoring the character because it has SO much association with the maker via advertisement/example pics and ppl using it as an example of their work
Damn. This is also a huge issue that I've seen come through my feed on twitter alot and now here. I had to check them out and honestly it's horrible what they're doing. I just got into fursuit making myself over the last couple years and I can't imagine pulling any of this with customers. It's absolutely nuts.

I've heard a lot of bad things about lsd fursuits. I believe I've seen a few videos about lsd fursuits a while back. After watching your video, I guess lsd fursuits is still a big problem. I'm looking for a fursuit maker myself. I've looked at Lemonbrat, Made Fur You, More Fur Less, & Don't Hug Cati. I was going to go with Lemon brat but a couple years ago I requested a commission for a Zoroark Hoodie. However, they never responded. I theorize the reason for no response was because they do not do copyrighted entities. Instead, I went to Etsy and found someone that took my commission for the Zoroark hoodie. I've looked at the other suit makers I've listed and I think I'll be going towards dhc because their fursuits look the best and my cousin likes and recommended them too.

I don’t like them or Lemon Brat. However Lemon Brat will fix their suits but still Lemon Brat suits look not well made I hope they improve over time though.
(Non-Furry here, I just occasionally bop around and make my rounds on the internet.) Often I wonder how people could sleep at night while they behave this way. But then it dawned on me that I actually have a job, a real job, I part-time college as well, and get out of the house at least every other day. It’s entirely possible that people like these never leave the house. That they don’t know how to socially interact or tell right from wrong.
Nah they know, but theyre lazy. Thats also why they dont get out of the house. Rather than not knowing right from wrong, they just dont face any consequences or understand responsability because they dont have to keep a job and they dont need to turn in an assignment on time. They do whatever they want in the easiest way possible and block people online. Complete lack of consequence.

Well, I think overall she could be so much better she's just got such an issue taking criticism. The best fursuit makers in the fandom had to take constructive criticism and she doesn't own up to her mistakes either. I just feel like the issue with the customer was so bad because of the reputation of our community being on the line. And the metal in the suit could easily injure somebody and I think if she would just change her business practices and learn to handle criticism they would be so much better.
I'm not a furry but I like to see the shit that goes on in the community because I feel like there are a lot of bad outliers which can be said for all communities but it is very interesting.

I make fursuits for my own use and use metal mesh for the eyes and i spent a very long time, making sure it is not sharp and can not damage/hurt me and or especially can not hurt/damage others , i made several prototypes , and abused the heck out of the heads until i found a method to make it safe , unless someone literally takes a sledgehammer and bash the metal mesh it is safe.
Like my current model i will get brushes but no cuts even if someone weighing 85 kg jumps from 1 meters height directly on the eye mesh and only became sharp after two sledge hammer blows where i hit with the corner of the short handle sledgehammer at full force, but at this point even resin would have shattered and my plastic base would break before the mesh would become sharp, i even hit the mesh with a pick axe and only a hard blow would make a sharp edge

I'm 13. I make my own fursuits. And they are pretty good because I started to build and sew my own dragon puppets. And if I make fursuits for people. Please be aware that people want good stuff. As someone who owns an unneutered rabbit who breaks potty train constantly, I can confirm that rabbit poop can and will get everywhere. Their feces are small solid pellets and when applied pressure they crush into dust. The dust then gets into the air, and you are breathing rabbit feces. It's extremely unsanitary. So yes, keeping an untrained rabbit in the same room you keep your supplies is not only unwise because of the sanitation, but also for the health of the said rabbit. They can and will eat fur, which will kill them.
EDIT: (mentioned him being unneutered because, in the rabbit community, a well-known fact is that only neutered/spayed rabbits will be able to stay potty-trained for a long period of time. The more you know)

It’s actually most likely that LSD is deliberately slacking off on the quality of the suits as the first 2-3 suits that she ever made were extremely high quality and are also used as examples of her work in her commission info! Pretty much the first of those suits was her first ever fursuit that is her own and is of her fursona while the other couple were trial commissions done for a couple of close friends of here’s before she opened her commissions to the general public so it’s seemingly quite obvious that she’s choosing not to put much effort into her commissioned suits including commissions that she did more recently for close friends that she’d known for years or even decades and now quite a few of those long time friends have called her out on her poor business practices due to them receiving extremely low quality suits or being straight up scammed!

Outsider to the furry community here, but I have several friends who are in the community so I have a passing interest in this topic, since I do admire the way a well-done fursuit can look! Now, I don't know shit about fursuits, but I do know a fair bit about cosplay, and I know for a fact there's do's and don'ts with that. So from the perspective of a casual cosplayer and someone who makes their own costumes in general (or modifies them from bought items), here's my take (fair warning, long):
1) If it's falling apart first you get it, this person probably was not double-stitching or stitching securely. If they hand-sewed (unlikely with a full suit costume like a fursuit), they didn't do a double backstitch on the seams; if they used a sewing machine, they didn't use a secure enough stitch to hold the fabric together. If it's not ripping along the seams however, then the wearer was either doing something that stressed the fabric too much, or the creator used a really, really shoddy faux fur/feathers - there really should be no reason a good quality fabric that is thick enough for fake fur/feathers to just randomly rip. I'm sure any of the commentator furries here who have actually made their own fursuit or other costume before can back me up on this - the fabric is THICK and just doesn't rip easily. You really have to tug on it to make it do that.
2) Rabbit/rodent droppings and fake fur are a NO-NO because they get smashed in and stuck in the fur, making it hard to clean. You think the all the gross furries with cum in their fursuits because they don't wash them is bad? Shit's worse. My little sister also cosplays - anime characters mostly but some games too - and she owns rats. I am constantly having to remind her to be very, very careful with her fabric and her rats so they don't foul the fabric, because some costume fabrics can be delicate or very hard to clean. With these fabrics especially a stain like that will ruin them. That's to say NOTHING of the possibility of triggering allergies in a person or making them sick. If I spent money knowing someone were making me a thing, and there were rodent droppings in it? I'd be livid. There's absolutely no reason for this, it's dangerous and if it were a factory that made these costumes, they'd be shut the fuck down faster than you can say "yiff in hell". How can someone think this is okay? At least put the fabric in some sort of sealed bin when you aren't working on it so the rabbit can't shit on it...
3) Mouth movement: Oh hell no, you never do this with metal on any mask. The proper way to do it is to fit it to your natural jawline, if you want a moveable mask you need to have it fit closer to your face. This is what I did when I modified a goat skull mask with a hinged jaw so it would look like I opened and closed the mouth - I used foam and fabric, and plastic to prop it up so it moved when my chin moved. There should be no reason to ever, ever have metal near your face that isn't stuck in some sort of hole (earrings, jewelry, piercings, etc.) when much safer alternatives such as heat-warpable plastic exist. This is just common fucking sense - you don't put sharp metal bits anywhere on any costume. If you want cool electronic bits like glowing eyes or whatever, you should do it safely - make sure the circuits are sound, purchase pre-made lights if at all possible, etc. There's ways to make a moving mask with electronic bits that are safe, but this ain't it chief. I wouldn't try it in a million years, and I've been cosplaying for about 5-6 years now.
4) The scamming thing. Horrible. There *are* people that commission cosplay costumes for you just like with fursuit creators, but I've never heard of that sort of thing happening in that community. What is going on here, do people in the Furry community just think it's okay to bilk people out of money? Though... to be fair, how could anyone know who is new to the furry fandom, and who isn't? I'd think you might want to make some sort of BBB type thing for furry artists and fursuit makers, that seems like it would be useful - sort of a buyer's guide. I'm unsure if that exists for this community, but it seems like a great idea. That way, different costume makers could be rated on their merits and people looking to buy a fursuit - in or out of the community - would be able to be confident in their purchases. When there's no oversight, then stuff like this happens, you're trusting someone who might not have your best interests in mind and that is dangerous. I am genuinely so, so sorry you guys have to deal with this type of bullshit in your community, it's not okay.
5) This should seem obvious, but the best option for knowing your costume is safe is just... to make and modify it yourself. Learn how to use a sewing machine or a solid backing hand-stitch, there's plenty of tutorials online. I've even made my own tails and ears from tutorials online! Learn how to use foam, sculpting tools, and heating implements. Learn how to choose fabrics and color match, and disguise stitch lines in fur fabrics. Learn how to use hot glue, and when you need to consider other kinds of glue (as some can melt foam or plastic-based fabrics. You can even use other things as bases for the costume, if you're looking for a certain look. This type of expertise comes with practice and trying things out, it's not something you just know, so learn a little DIY and just make your own. That's how I do all my cosplays, and while a lot of them may take more time, the outcome will be something you KNOW is made just for you and to your own specifications. And I promise, if you're new to it, nobody is going to notice a shoddy stitch job you've done if it's camouflaged by fake fur.
I have a friend that ordered a fursuit and the suit was absolutely adorable. Although she spent 49 hours in the hospital due to the fact that the maker had multiple dogs present whilst working on the suit. My friend was very allergic to dogs.

Damn. This is also a huge issue that I've seen come through my feed on twitter alot and now here. I had to check them out and honestly it's horrible what they're doing. I just got into fursuit making myself over the last couple years and I can't imagine pulling any of this with customers. It's absolutely nuts.

I've heard a lot of bad things about lsd fursuits. I believe I've seen a few videos about lsd fursuits a while back. After watching your video, I guess lsd fursuits is still a big problem. I'm looking for a fursuit maker myself. I've looked at Lemonbrat, Made Fur You, More Fur Less, & Don't Hug Cati. I was going to go with Lemon brat but a couple years ago I requested a commission for a Zoroark Hoodie. However, they never responded. I theorize the reason for no response was because they do not do copyrighted entities. Instead, I went to Etsy and found someone that took my commission for the Zoroark hoodie. I've looked at the other suit makers I've listed and I think I'll be going towards dhc because their fursuits look the best and my cousin likes and recommended them too.

Rather than not knowing right from wrong, they just dont face any consequences or understand responsability because they dont have to keep a job and they dont need to turn in an assignment on time. They do whatever they want in the easiest way possible and block people online. Complete lack of consequence.

Well, I think overall she could be so much better she's just got such an issue taking criticism. The best fursuit makers in the fandom had to take constructive criticism and she doesn't own up to her mistakes either. I just feel like the issue with the customer was so bad because of the reputation of our community being on the line. And the metal in the suit could easily injure somebody and I think if she would just change her business practices and learn to handle criticism they would be so much better.
I'm not a furry but I like to see the shit that goes on in the community because I feel like there are a lot of bad outliers which can be said for all communities but it is very interesting.

I hate to admit that they are a local maker....Sadly I personally know someone they scamed/hurt who used to be their friend. Just horrible all around. I know the person who found the metal, it was literally a canning jar lid. Thankfully the owner was unharmed by this. I hope she was the only one who went through that but I sadly doubt it.

I make fursuits for my own use and use metal mesh for the eyes and i spent a very long time, making sure it is not sharp and can not damage/hurt me and or especially can not hurt/damage others , i made several prototypes , and abused the heck out of the heads until i found a method to make it safe , unless someone literally takes a sledgehammer and bash the metal mesh it is safe.
Like my current model i will get brushes but no cuts even if someone weighing 85 kg jumps from 1 meters height directly on the eye mesh and only became sharp after two sledge hammer blows where i hit with the corner of the short handle sledgehammer at full force, but at this point even resin would have shattered and my plastic base would break before the mesh would become sharp, i even hit the mesh with a pick axe and only a hard blow would make a sharp edge
