I think we were on the same cruise last January. I remember being parked next to the Celebrity Reflection in Cozumel and then it’s starting raining. We stayed in the Haven as well right in the aft with the huge 500 sq ft balcony. We loved the Prima and the food was excellent.
Excellent review covers all bases for anyone considering a Prima class cruise and also the Haven. We have cruised NCL Haven on the Escape and we had the Forward Penthouse. Its a lot bigger in the metal /flesh and the videos do not do the colour scheme any favours, it was great subtle and relaxing. We were pampered left right and centre and as it was an 11 day Mediterranean cruise definitely worth every penny, we had the free at sea package thrown in and only upgraded the WIFI for one device to full streaming for just over 200 dollars. This allowed us to change itineraries the night before a port excursion , book our own excursions and buy train tickets etc so it wasn't a luxury. The only downside was the food, the Haven restaurant just ran dry after seven days. We should have added another couple of speciality restaurants and then we would have been good. The buffet sadly wasn't a patch on the RCL offering although we did have great wake views. We went there for breakfast so we could have oats porridge ( that wasn't available in the Haven restaurant ). Having said that I think Haven suites are brilliant. My wife insists on her bath tub and I like my shower so we are sorted on most NCL ships, the Prima class would be a problem for us, I think tubs are only available for the owners suite. The Shower jets are out of this world I am not sure that any other cruise line in the same space offres the jetted showers except maybe Celebrity in its Aqua class. Incidentally that's the only reason I would consider NCL again.
I've always cruised Royal and have no need to change that, but I have always been interested in Norwegian. We have stock in Norwegian but never cruised them.
Great review. I also was on the Encore 2 bedroom suite and loved them. I am in the double decker suite on Aqua. I have never stayed in the Prima class Haven before so not sure how I feel taking an elevator everywhere. You point out a truth that there should be a tv in the Haven lounge. One major complaint I read is how that GIANT Haven bar and lounge area is so dead because nothing goes on there. There are no organized gatherings either. No coffee, no snacks unlike the Observation lounge. They should be inviting people to gather in those spaces. It almost seems like a library in North Korea 😆
You are right about the Haven lounge being lifeless. They need to liven it up. Plus the couches are terribly uncomfortable. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the service is excellent.
At 4,500 people on board I can understand wanting to be in The Haven. I really enjoy how you use the information you present in these, and in the World According to Briggs videos.

Lol, post all the cruise videos you want! Im poor and will probably never get to go on one, i can live vicariously through your videos!
NCL cruises can be quite affordable as long as you don't mind an interior or oceanview room.
Cost me about $1700 for a 3 day cruise but i had an oceanview to myself…. Much cheaper if you go interior with a friend
Deal!

People are still leery about cruises and most haven't tried them. This helps, I'll pass it on
