- Hi, welcome to Electric Car Australia and my latest EV video, an in-depth interview with Simon, a Kia EV6 GT All Wheel Drive owner who commutes 2,000 kms per month between from his farm near Tenterfield and a Hunter Valley Coal Mine where he works.
In the video we cover what it's like living in regional NSW with an electric vehicle. How his charging experience has been and the other electric cars he compared the EV6 against when deciding on the EV which best suits his needs.

Nice interview Greg, look forward to the next part, I have the RWD EV6 and absolutely love it, 100% of my charging has been done at home with fresh electrons from daylight. I also have just added another 3kW of solar, so am all good as well for the shorter winter days ! 🤠😎

We considered EV6 AWD but the wait times were insane. Ended up with Ioniq 6 but have seen a few EV6's around Sydney (blue, white and black - blue looks best IMO). Probably should've given the car a bit of a wash though to really show it off. I have Bluelink app in my 6 and I think the 12V battery is fine (knock on wood). Would also be cool if they colour matched the 3D model/360 view with the colour of your actual car.
This EV6 travels daily on gravel roads so I was happy it had its " Daily use" cloths on and didn't get a wash. As mentioned Simon was lucky with the Kia lottery and getting an EV6 early on.

Yeah the lack of colour matching is odd. But it does demonstrate Kia’s rather lax approach to software
