I just wanna tell you again Ashley how helpful it is that you throw in SO MANY visual examples in your videos. I love this video. It covers many points, what to wear and what not to wear. It addresses (pun intended), most men's, body shape, age and size. Ashley is probably young enough to be my granddaughter (who to me is also funny) so, it's good to get that perspective. She makes me laugh. So, that hits the entertainment factor, as well.

You are my favorite mens stylist by far. Your tips have really helped me pull together some great outfits. But tell me one thing. Why is there so much hate towards men wearing Jean shorts, but for women, many stylists are saying they are an essential wardrobe staple? I understand and agree they can look sloppy or too heavy, but I’ve seen them pulled off successfully too. So why the difference in style advice?
Well said Ash, but even chinos are not all the same, there are thicker and thiner chinos for Fall or Summer. I got both, for summer i have the BR navy and light grey chinos , a tan color from Gap and a sandy color from UniQlo. I am well covered at linen pants both casual, beach style and dressy ! .. I need more linen shirts, and here in Korea sale is not coming soon till mid summer!...kkk

I really do like no show socks in the summer with loafers, but it doesn’t matter what brand I get they all come off (Ashley is right, it is SO annoying) I bought some from Bombas, that are advertised to not fall off, but they do, I guess it’s because I have flat feet.

her advise for shirt fit only works for bulky musculine guys. those fit sometimes doesn't look good for skinny body like me. that's why i always wear boxy shirt or oversized shirts.

Great video as always, but I honestly don't see a problem in cuffing your shorts so that you have an option to wear them shorter or longer, just like you suggested with the pants. As long as you are not folding the cuffs more than 3 times, I don't think it's bad. Common sense is the key.
I'm with you. I'm on the short side and wearing shorts that are too long make me look shorter. Cuffing also shows the definition on my legs as I don't skip leg days 😊

I can fairly predict a trend in men's fashion. I just purchased a pair of jean shorts. People will probably think I'm so out of trend, They are bermuda length and not short shorts. I predict by next summer men will be adding a pair of jean shorts to their wardrobe as I gradually stray away from it. In fact, the jean shorts I purchased was the last size and pair. So maybe, men who are fashion forward will start wearing them this summer.

Yep! They're still good. Bit of a floppy collar, but it's not a deal breaker at all.
There are definitely stylish options when it comes to denim shorts. Not everybody wants to look smart casual. Sometimes we just wanna look casual.
i am 6ft4. I wear usually a 1 or 2xt. Not one site makes a video for us with quality clothes. I only find cheap stuff. Show us some love!
Hey Ashley, what's your opinion on a TINY bit of no show socks peeking out sometimes from your shoe? Some no show socks are completely covered in some shoes and not in some others, and I'm wondering as a professional stylist, if it annoys the crap out of you. I've heard it both ways from various people where some don't care and some drive them crazy
A true no show sock won’t. For example, Puma sells a sock that barely makes it up the heel but has grippers in there so they never slip. And the fabric on the top ends half way between toe and ankle. Comfortable and stable and no matter what shoe I wear, they are not visible. I know what you’re sayin and It annoys me too. These socks have solved that for me.
Not the end of the world, but ideally you can't see much or any of it. That's just not entirely realistic, though. No-Show Socks guide is being worked on now for release in a few weeks!

Fit is a lot more important than brand. Find a brand that fits well, then buy that brand for all of your crew neck t-shirts. If you can't find a brand that fits well, then take your t-shirts to the tailor.
The one that fits you best. I like Uniqlo and James Perse for two price points.

Great tips! I have a question about polos though: is there any rule on the number of buttons and on how many of them should be left unbuttoned? I always find variations of either 2 or 3 buttons (sometimes even 4!) and I never know which one I should choose.
Since not all polos are cut the same it really depends but it’s all about not showing too much chest/chest hair.
You should be able to decide what looks best. As long as at least one is buttoned and one is unbuttoned, you're probably fine.
The zipper polo is the trending option. I'd say the 3 button will always be in style and best to leave 2 buttons undone. It will always be fashionable.

No show socks with shorts: definitely. No show socks with pants: maybe. Younger guys with casual pants can pull it off. Older guys, not so much. And bare ankles with dress pants: no, just no.
