    Thanks for watching the video. If you setup your VOIP phone system in your office yourself, tell us what hardware you used and how easy or difficult it was in the comments below.

    Hey Rich
    I recently worked for a state contractor where we cutover to Cisco VOIP for every state facility
    (large state).
    No more crappy ILEC phone lines
    (Frontier, AT&T)
    Rain or shine voice quality is fine
    The only issues they had or some intermittent fax trouble

      That sounds awesome. Stay tuned as we recently partnered with Cisco and we are working on not only offering their IP phones and WebEx UCaaS solution bundled with it to clients who want Cisco, BUT we should start having actual Cisco hardware reviews on the channel, so stay tuned!

    In Australia.
    ISPs charge for extra for VoIP, and router, and phone, on-top of their internet connection ($70/mo for 100Gb @ 12mps max speed). And, the cost of getting the NBN conversion, if the previous occupants didn't want to

      VOIP from internet companies passed off as a home phone ! NO it is not as good or the same as a old analog hard wired phone ! Power outages will soon make that clear.

    I have a large network and I required a mange switch to create VLANs and a different sub-net for the phone. Do you have any information on this?

      Hi there. Actually I've personally setup a multi-VLAN VOIP setup awhile back for an incubator that had multiple tenants all wanting to use separate VOIP phone systems/providers on the same network. For equipment like that, specific to what you're trying to do we recommend, and have some great contacts at VOIP Supply. Feel free to message me directly via the following link and I can put you in contact with my technical contacts there who can assist: www.richtechnologygroup.com/contact-us.html

    Do I need some type of software to hook up an VOIP phone for my home office
    Thank you in advance

    • @RichTechnologyGroup

      It depends on your scenario, but most reputable VOIP carriers include all the software you need to run their services, and all you need is a web browser or mobile phone if you plan on using the carriers included mobile or desktop app.

    nice, but... how do I connect my telephone lines already have ? do you have a video explaining it?. Keep doing video, I´m from Mexico City. Regards

      Hi Luis. Thanks for watching the video! When you say telephone lines do you mean analog like POTS lines? For VOIP you will either need a carrier that is PURE SIP based VOIP service like Vonage Business or Nextiva or if you have a on-premise system you will need SIP trunks. That's the only way it will be possible, that I know of, with today's technology. I hope that helps and thanks for watching all the way from Mexico! 👍😎

      @@luiseggalicia Hi there, unfortunately while I used to personally install and repair analog PBX systems, we don't deal in analog anymore. All my videos and current expertise with today's technology is strictly VOIP, so I can't unfortunately give you much any insights on the best way to go about setting up an old traditional or analog phone system. If I were you I would strongly consider switching to VOIP. Analog phone system are not only antiquated, but also MORE expensive to own and maintain than VOIP. Also most of the carriers worldwide are SLOWLY phasing out analog phone lines and service so that technologies days are NUMBERED! RIGHT NOW, there is NO BETTER time to adopt VOIP because it is the ONLY telecommunications technology (other than a mobile phone) that allows for you to have a truly virtual, mobile and scalable telecom system for your business.

    • @RichTechnologyGroup
      @RichTechnologyGroup  Год назад

      You can use wifi with VOIP. In fact there are wifi compatible IP phones you can use to connect to the internet via wireless, however you need good internet and a strong wifi connection for this to typically be VERY reliable. I hope this helps answer your question.

  • @George196207
    @George196207 2 года назад

    Your forced to have a high speed internet. VOIP only needs a computer and high speed internet ! IT IS NOT the same as a actual phone and depends on having power ! WORTHLESS in a power outage or internet outage ! I hate VOIP ! Your analog phone has legal rights and privacy your VOIP do not !

    • @RichTechnologyGroup
      @RichTechnologyGroup  2 года назад +1

      Love it or hate it, VOIP is becoming the standard; for homes and business use scenarios. The statistics don't lie... so brace yourselves!
