Well said.
The guy was a fighter. Even though he was dying he was saving lives every day in that very ambulance. Such a sad moment to see him sitting there with his wife knowing that soon he will not be here anymore my thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
It’s his fiancé
Very sad. But I watch these things only to hopefully read the comments from people like you. Makes it better all around. I think RUclips should highlight these true comments in these stories so we can hear back stories. Some people don’t know about the comments
@@karm1439 thank you for your kind words. There are so many trolls and say nasty things to get a reaction. It's just really sad it really is
The fact that they could smile and wave I think says so much about the people they are ❤
@Williams Susan I am doing good how are you
IN MY VIEW
0:55 The way the other firefighters showed him respect saluting him when he came around the corner made me cry. He was surrounded with love.
I honestly don't see how they managed to stay at attention with a straight face😩. I literally would've been balling my eyes out🤦🏽♀️

RIP Frank, only 34, sunset January 22, 2023, so young, so much more to give, yet gave plenty for being so young with the limited time he had, peace and love to his loved ones.
Just hope the family knows there getting preys from not just Illinois but from all the way in NY too. Heartbreaking knowing how young he was
So very sad. Sending love from the UK 💜
I'm so so sorry for your loss 😭. Thankyou for your service friend 🇦🇺🥃🙏
As they rendered honors it was good to see him take it in and enjoy the moment. What a tearjerker this one was. God bless the family and may he rest in eternal peace.

As both a firefighter and ( so far ) a cancer survivor this had me in tears.

Cancer is so unfair
Yes it is and America is eat up with it. Lost family members because of cancer.
That it is.
Yeah and doesn’t help lot of fire fighters get cancer due to the job from the smoke from a fire getting stuck on the gear, from the trucks exhaust fumes being in the station, from hazmat calls, and we r learning more about fire and how to keep the brothers in red safer during any fire or any hazmat etc sane for police and ems
Tell me about it. Both my husband and 11 yr old grandson have cancer. 💔

@@jmathew3942 Well, it's been 4 months that this video has been posted to RUclips. The gentleman was likely being discharged to home hospice as the video title states firefighter going home with terminal cancer. My dad was a firefighter for 30 years. He passed in 2001. He will meet you up in heaven big guy. God bless your family!!❤

I wish they could've found a cure. I send love and prayers to your family and friends and to that brave man. Thank you for your Service Sir very much appreciated. 🙏
I hate cancer and what it does to people. I don't know Firefighter Nunez, but watching this video made me cry. I hope his transition into the afterlife is a very peaceful one.

As a cancer survivor I only hope he was saved from pain in his last days. R. I. P young man
Yeah, F#%k cancer. Prayers to the firefighter and his family 💔🙏
This brings back so many vivid memories of the day my dad (who was also a fire fighter) took his last ride on a gurney from our home to the hospital as we all stood there trying to be strong. He paused & looked at each of us & around the family room as if he knew this was his last time seeing us and the home he built for us. This was one of the hardest days of my life. Tho he’s been gone almost 40 yrs, the pain never goes away. My only consolation is knowing he’s at home with Our Lord and no longer suffering. Miss you dad!

@@mozberg2191 In your comment you've stated "I wish..." .
Going right back in time, in every part of the world, in every human culture, the overwhelming majority of humans have felt the need to believe in some sort of higher purpose. The question I ask is not whether there is or is not a God, but why does this need to believe happen across all of humanity?
When you start to think about that question, and the statement you have made, it may be that there's a part of you that wishes or wants to have that faith or belief in a higher purpose. Maybe your rational mind or your 'logic' is dissuading you from letting yourself believe in a higher purpose.
I believe there is some sort of God and there is a purpose. I hope and pray that you too can experience that faith and that it can give you some hope and comfort after the loss of your brother.
😞🙏 thank you for sharing
My husband 83 is retired firefighter. Thank you for this video. I hope you will have the firefighter 7 bells ceremony for him. It is beautiful.. I hope you are able to spend a long time with each other at home. I am so sorry for the diagnosis . Praying for a miracle of God's blessings on you both.

This gave me chills and brought me to tears but God can turn around any situation that we feel is hopeless. Prayers for this family! 😢
Ppl tell me all the time crying is weak. No, it’s being an empathetic and a compassionate human being. Heartbreaking.
They maybe change the people you know, hon, because you're right.
✨🙏💕💫💪✨
Fwiw, emotional tears vs onion ones contain toxins more concentrated than anywhere else in the human body. That's a fact. The phrase 'feel better after a good cry' is truth.
Crying is definitely not weak! I agree with you about compassion, empathy🙏🏾
This has me in tears
No crying is cleansing and showing compassion and humanity. Love and true vulnerability. You are right and people who say that are scared and don’t know how to show their own feelings. We are the strong ones because we face our pain and also express our joy in crying.
It is nice knowing people still care.
This is very beautiful and to show so much respect to a fellow firefighter is even more touching. When they came around and saluted I lost it there. God be with you all.

@@KiwikimNZ so sorry for your loss
There’s no possible way to describe the intense anguish that takes over you escorting a brother or sister with whom you’ve experienced unimaginable situations to where they’ll spend their final moments on earth! In 2018 my fire chief finally went to the doctor to get ahold of his pain only to find out his body was riddled with cancer and given less than a month to live. Two days later, we barely got him back home before he passed 25 minutes after we got him comfortable in his favorite recliner. I pray that Firefighter Nunez’s last moments on earth are peaceful, and comfort and peace in mourning for everyone who loves him!
In November of 2020, an ambulance took my sister home one final time. She lasted 25 days and died in the very room she once grew up in. That was beyond brutal. I’ve seen death before when my dad was sick but this was worse yet.

My mother died from cancer 2 days before Christmas. Throughout her battle our pug would curl up on her feel while she sat in her favorite chair. She had been hospitalized for the final two weeks but didn’t want to die in the hospital. We told the doctor she wants to go home and they obliged. Our dog held vigil outside her bedroom door 24/7. Even when she passed he would lie outside her door for about 2 weeks, just waiting for her to walk out. He then transitioned back to his original spot, at the foot rest of moms favorite chair. He grieved just as much as we did.
So sorry, I hope you're doing ok.
