  • I had to expose Stan to Janis Joplin! Listening to Chris Stapleton and Beth Hart lately, I've been thinking about her and Joe Cocker. And Tom Jones ain't no slouch neither.

I remember watching this because my mother and aunts loved Tom Jones. They didn't like Janis but we did. My 4 older sisters were dancing with them. Tom had a summer variety show. Incredible display of great talent. Janis passed at only 27, RIP SWEET ANGEL

I love the look on Stan's face through the whole performance! I think he was in awe of Janis and I wouldn't blame him. She put her heart and soul into every performance. It doesn't matter which of her songs you decide to do next, you won't be disappointed. Mercedes Benz
    , Piece Of My Heart
, Ball & Chain, Me & Bobby McGee
, Cry Baby, Move over, Try and so many more! I was born in 57 so this is my era of music 💜☮💜

    Dude...
She was the ONLY one to have that voice. It will only ever be forever hers.
She was born for the blues....and to die young from it.
    And that she certainly did.

    Love Janis!❤
Maybe, Ball and chain, Work me lord, Cry baby, Try (just a little bit harder), As good as you've been to this world, Piece of my heart, Me & Bobby McGee, Move over, Summertime... So many good songs to choose from.

Gotta love Janis. She was huge when I was in when I was in JR-Sr High School! I would not mind hearing her again. My Grandmother who came over from Italy was in love with Tom Jones. She was in her seventies and she lived with us. Every week we had to watch Tom Jones. It is a great memory........... :-)

I heard you mention Joe Cocker as an artist you’d like to hear. “With a Little Help from my Friends” (Woodstock live performance preferred) is his biggest hit. It’s a classic, and the WStock live video is Long.
However, since you enjoyed hearing Janis Joplin with Tom Jones’on“ The Tom Jones’ Show”, you might also like Joe Cocker together with TJ on the “Tom Jones Show”, doing “Delta Lady”. Those two guys could NOT be more different, but when they sang together it was pure magic. I’ll try to find out how to how to send you the link, but I feel pretty certain you can just do a RUclips video search. I’ve listened to it numerous times and had no trouble pulling it up.
Hope you guys are still doing Reaction videos; I really like your chemistry.

I knew you were spot on comparing Beth Hart to Janis, Other female "soulful" vocalists you may not know much of might be Joss stone, Diana Krall, Susan tedechi (is a must), Each different and amazing in her own right. and For maybe the purest most powerful and maybe most creative and emotional interpretations of lyrics I been trying to get Any reactors to react to The Great Eva Cassidy, she may be one of the best kept secrets in music. (though completely different than the others mentioned ) I might start with her cover of over the rainbow, or Autumn leaves
